Thank you for all the help. After returning the Pi and exchanging it for a new one I was able to install NOOBS 1.4 with no problems. I have booted the unit multiple times with no issue.

Just downloaded the software twice and still no success. Each time I am completely deleting (using the overwrite feature) the SD card prior to loading. It is looking like the only possible solution is to send the unit back and try a different one.

Still not having luck booting up. Tried a brand new Samsung 16 gb card class 6 with latest software both NOOBS and stand alone raspbian. I am at the end of my rope. About to contact seller and send it back.

Yes I have read it. I ordered a new sd card that is class 6 Panasonic 16gb. I will see if that work's.

Just verified power at 5.19 VDC

Tried reloading both the NOOBS and raspbian on the SD card. Problem didn't go away. Tried different power supply, didn't fix it. Getting frustrated with the inability to use the Raspberry Pi.

I am running the latest raspbian software and when plugged into Windows I see all the files. On the board itself I get a red led for power and a steady green led for ACT.
