Re: SD Card Benchmarks

Here's a decent one for you. It's a Samsung Pro 32GB µSDHC UHS-I card fresh out of the box. It was tested in my 2013 MacBook Air running Windows 7, with its built-in card reader (which hangs on USB3 internally). It performs really well, but it will obviously not be as fast in the Pi. I have a brand...

Re: Brand new RPi2 wont boot

In looking at other peoples problems that have been reported It sounds like Raspberry PI 2 may be having issues with cards that are larger than 8 GB. I think I might try to partition my 16GB San Disk into two 8GB drives and load an image on them to see if that has any effect. Let you know if I am s...

Re: MicroSD cards for the Raspberry Pi 2

I am having trouble locating the specs for the card needed. What class/size combinations are possible? I'm hoping 256GB for a class 10, but I can't find the data on it. Thanks in advance. The maximum size microSDXC cards currently available are 128GB. The most popular 16/32GB class 10 microSD cards...

Not all the codecs are available however most media files are played properly. There are sometimes problems playing large 1080p files from NAS, direc...

Re: Not recognising Wi-Fi adapters at all

normanlove, You may try to download and install the missing hardware rtlwifi/rtl8188eufw.bin by using the following command: wget http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/non-free/f/firmware-nonfree/firmware-nonfree_0.43.tar.gz Extract from the archive the missing firmware file /firmware-nonfree/realtek...

Re: Kali Linux

Thanks a lot Dougie, Yes, I may report that Kali Linux is fully functional on Raspberry Pi 2! My both wireless adapters are recognized and working immediately after connecting to USB port (TP-LINK TL-WN722N and Edimax EW-7811Un). I used the previous Kali Linux image kali-1.0.9-rpi.img.xz (from https...

Re: Kali Linux

Yes, the same. In case the boot directory of the Kali Linux is replaced by boot directory of Raspbian then it boots successfully to Kali command mode. It works however starting the desktop is not possible.
