"Mark forums read" button on Raspite forum theme

Could there be a "Mark forums read" button on the Raspite theme like there is in the default ProSilver theme?

Mine doesn't like to go over 1050MHz, it starts misbehaving pretty quickly.

Re: Hiss coming from Pi2

Haha, this is funny. I've made some tests and I can hear two different sounds coming from my Pi2 board. They are faint, but noticeable when in silence. One sounds like a crackling, not unlike what a tiny hard disk drive would make, that seems to come from USB activity. The other sounds like the tini...

Re: raspberry2 a upgrade as a nas over raspberry1?

You might get a better boost in performance just by adding a gigabit Ethernet USB adapter to your current model. I think it was mikronauts who performed some tests with such a configuration and while you couldn't achieve anything near gigabit speeds due to the hub being 2.0 the net gain was still si...

Edit the /boot/config.txt file and comment out/delete the "freq" parameters to achieve default speed.

He usado un Dualshock 2 de PS2 conectado a un adaptador USB con la distro recalboxOS y no ha habido problema en configurarlo, así que con otro mando de PS2 tampoco debería haberlo.

Re: Rasperry Pi 2 won't startx, and how can I tell if the Pi

SSH connections are console only. If you want to use the desktop you'll have to either use the Pi directly or use the LAN, install x11vnc on the Pi, run it when the X session starts and connect through a VNC client on your laptop.

Re: Pi with laptop monitor

No, you can't. What you can do through the network is getting to the Pi through SSH for command line interface or through VNC/RDP for desktop interface, but that's not as much using your laptop screen with the Pi as it is using specific software within your laptop to access the Pi. Another thing to ...

Re: OSMC Rainbow Box

The huge rainbow square at boot is a GPU test, the small top right reddish square is supposed to be overheat but there is a bug with the firmware that makes it appear at boot as well even when it makes no sense. If you don't get it anywhere else you can most probably ignore it.

Re: RASPBIAN - large file size ?

Compared to a "full" desktop OS (whatever that means) Raspbian is tiny. For example, a clean, just installed Windows 8.1 takes about 20GB of space. There are some default applications you might not want to have in your Raspbian that take some respectable space, like Wolfram/Mathematica which if you ...

Thanks Is that the only way? Was hoping to do it 'offline' by just drag and drop into the appropriate folders. Windows will only recognize the first partition on removable media, and it sadly isn't the one where games/screenshots/etc are stored. If you want to put things in there using a single com...

Re: Run x11vnc on startup

If you have the Pi booting directly into the desktop, you could add the command to your .xsessionrc file and have it run automatically upon starting the X session. That's how I have it set up, maybe it's not the best way to do it but it works.

fbc does not seem to be an IDE, just a compiler, so you'll have to use an external text editor to code.

IIRC they use 4:2:0 chroma subsampling for their encoding. Something has to be sacrificed in order to have better speeds and less traffic, I guess.

I assume that you mean to use that same card on another computer as extra storage, without destroying the Pi OS in the card for further use with your Pi2?
