Re: Play Spotify on Raspbian Chrome [Easy Directions!]

Thank you, that was the Problem. ... Do you think that there will be also the possibility to run the new web-player? Your welcome. Unfortunately whether it will support new web-player in the future is not something I can answer. It's really determined if the current versions out there in the wild w...

Re: Play Spotify on Raspbian Chrome [Easy Directions!]

I get the old player.

User agent needs to be internet explorer 10 if your getting the new player with safari user agent.

I mention in the first post you may want to use Firefox window user agent.

Spotify is using user agent identification to determine if you should get new or old player.

Thanks. I hunted hard for this because I knew if Pandora would work with Chrome on RaspberryPi, then Spotify has to work too.

Apparently Spotify block raspberry Pi user agents so I spoofed and bam! Works!

Re: Play Spotify on Raspbian Chrome [Easy Directions!]

I tried this. The only problem is, that I can not use the player controls. For example the volume slider is 0 at the beginning. So ausio is off and I can not hear anything. If I change the slider with the mouse after one second the slider returns to the initial position. The other controls do not r...

Re: Play Spotify on Raspbian Chrome [Easy Directions!]

Well that's fantastic news, and opens up use of pi's as a standalone spotify player - with less messing than other methods. It sure is and the player works really well. Spread the word. Also if you need to make the player load faster, turn off images in chrome by going to: Settings -> Show Advanced...

Hi, I've got exactly the same problem. I'm a pi novice. I have installed audacious as you suggest. How do I then use it to play mp3s? If i click on the file it still asks me to choose a program to open it with but I can not see audacious as an opition. I'm on a pi 2. Many thanks ! You have to open ...

Re: Introducing PIXEL desktop: new Raspbian release

Pixel is so great. Chromium add-on made it so much cooler. I also noticed we have adobe flash plug-in now. Together with the h264ify plug-in, using RPi as desktop PC becomes one step closer to reality. Now all I need is a preinstalled GUI based media player with built-in HW accelerated video playba...

Re: Kweb Suite (Minimal Kiosk Browser)

I still find Kweb Suite to be the best set of multi-media applications availible on Raspberry Pi. Keep in mind that Google Chromium Browser is way better for typical browsing now but for media your browser is the go to! Also Raspberry Pi Pixel integration of VNC allows for a great means to remote co...

The New browser to 1.7.1 is awesome. Nice job. Also the new Youtube Server is a bit visually intrusive but it works really fast and is way more reliable.

Great Job again.

Now that GameMaker games are available on RPi https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/three-great-gamemaker-games-raspberry-pi/ any chance someone can get this working ? That is exciting news! Hope somebody can do it. I was the one who started this and finally the SDK is here! Plus with the Pi2B's power i...

Re: Jessie Q&A

I've made an image using the image from the web page (without noobs) and plan on booting it for the first time later today.

Is the first time setup the same as the Weezy version?

Has an effort been put into having pre-installed CUPS gui for printer users?

Re: New Raspbian based on Jessie is here....

I think you misunderstood chadw's post. You're Probably right. But it's still better to just re-image the whole thing rather then using NOOBs and be done with it, Rather then trying to figure out how to re-imaging a single partition. I found that NOOBs always inhibited me in some way when new image...

Re: LibreOffice Issue on Jessie

What Raspberry Pi are you using?

Have you been able to do the same task on Debian wheezy and how well/fast did it perform then?

Keep in Mind you're doing somthing that is beyond the power of a Raspberry Pi B+ and may struggle on a Raspberry Pi 2B

Hello, If NOOBS was used to install Raspbian Wheezy alongside another OS (dual boot), is it possible to upgrade to Jessie by merely copying the contents of the Jessie image over the existing Raspbian partition ? It will be better to do a fresh image of Jessie. It will make the transition less painf...

When the official Jessie release comes, will we be able to just update Raspbian Wheezy to Jessie with just a few command updates with few to minimal conflicts? Or will it be better to just fresh install? I'm kind of curious about it because I've read about some having issues updating through command...

kweb cannot be affected, but perhaps kweb3, which uses the same engine as epiphany. I have not thoroughly tested the latest update, yet. Hi ShiftPlusOne.

Any status on the webkit3, javascript, gstreamer-1,0-omx fix that totally broke video playing and makes everything low-frame rate laggy within Epiphany browser?

Browser sort of worked way better with video before the new image release.
