Re: recalboxOS - emulation platform for RPi and RPi2

Awesome update. Does ScummVM work with Gamepad? How does the OS Map the Controls to Gamepad for ScummVM? Good work on the update for Wifi, Kodi and now using Default Clock. Kodi support is really going to make your OS the go to for a all in one Super Entertainment Center OS if you keep this up. Next...

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

Yes, of course you can handle it that way, but that's not the way it's supposed to work. But the bug fix is already on github and a new versionpf omxplayer should be available soon. BTW, you can edit the settings so that omxplayerGUI starts with maximized window mode or plays full screen immediatel...

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

The latest omxplayer update from the repository creates a serious problem with omxplayerGUI. Dbus commands 'setvideopos' and 'unhidevideo' are broken and that means that omxplayerGUI will loose video, when you resize or move a video window. The bug is known and a fix has been submitted, but it has ...

If you decide to include: -PRBoom in this. Please include: ----Freedoom with it. (Freedoom is included in Debian repo) - ScummVM: Please include: ----Beneath a Steel Sky ----Flight of the Amazon Queen. (both of those are in Debian repo.) I have no idea how you would emulate a controller for this so ...

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

Yes, this is true for normal web browsing (and that's why it is disabled), but quite a lot of people are using kweb for kiosk applications and auto starting of videos may be exactly what they need. Maybe make it a setting or script that can be put into Kweb that can be manually turned on. If not I ...

Re: recalboxOS - emulation platform for RPi and RPi2

Yeah i forced turbo because it was the only way to make the rpi stable with extreme overclock. I changed the default setting to turbo for rpi1, and let user pass to extreme if they want :) Pi 2 is not overclocked and you do not have overclock menu for now. For the issue with controllers, i'm on it....

Re: Minimal Kiosk Browser

Hi, I love kweb but there is one feature I miss. I would like to use kweb3 with autoplay function for videos inside a webpage? Is it possible? As I read in your changelog you wrote "In kweb3 auto start of media files has been blocked (not possible in webkit1)" Is it historic or why is it not possib...

Thanks for all info, i created issues here : https://github.com/digitalLumberjack/recalbox-os/issues feel free to comment, or add new issues if needed. It's simplier for me to have issues on github to work. I just wanted to first suggest. Maybe there is a way for you to not force turbo when using E...

I don't believe he can because this OS is built on ArchLinux not Raspbian. But maybe he could include a duo boot feature with the NOOBS installer. I asked him about that already ;)

Thanks for the feedback. So far Single player works great. I use a Xbox 360 Controller for Player one and it works fine. Re: recalboxOS - emulation platform for RPi and RPi2

I'm going to try this out today. I tried the RetroPie but I find the configuration too confusing. So you project is very promising to me as a good alternative. Questions: Since you use Noobs to install RecalBox, will there be any support to add dual booting with Raspbian as well? Is RecallBox overcl...

I'll put the WAD link back then. The update had mostly to do with PRBoom being unstable without X and remov...

Saving states & Keyboard Layout PiSNES

Is there any way to save states? Yes. SAVE: Hold Shift and press any of the F1-F4 keys (one F key per save). On bottom left it will say game saved. LOAD: Press F1-F4 (the same one you initially saved with). Also the google Code page linked at the very beginning explains this too. Cool Tip: To remap...

@mrpi64 I've updated my post of my experience with games on Raspberry Pi. PrBoom stuff I wrote updates needs to be read up on. You may want to update your list with a note about it. http://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=675330#p675330 Anybody know if Vavoom will run better than PRboom?

Re: Brief RED Square when Rebooting (Overheat Square) Questi

Update I tried that command you mentioned Dougie. I see how it works so I looks for the Kernel to boot up noobs and somtimes it take a moment for it to find it so it shows the Red Square symbol. So it's not an overheat issue its just the nature of the reboot process sometimes it's a bit slow finding...

Ok. I'll try that when I get home. But, I did want to mention this has been going on for a few months with both of my MicroSD cards one I bought and one I got with NOOBS pre-installed. ACT LED or PWR LED? (update it's the ACT LED) Is it just a load issue with Kernels from SD Card or is this somethin...

Brief RED Square when Rebooting (Overheat Square) Question

I encounter a strange issue when rebooting my Raspberry Pi B+ as of late. I didn't want to make a big deal about it but I'm curious. When I reboot (default clock) when the initial big rainbow Splash screen comes up I get a brief 1-2 second RED overheat Square on the top right corner (not the rainbow...

Long answer: Your best bet is to try it out yourself, But Dougie makes the point that it will probably won't because it's hardware is mostly the same (just faster and more ram). Also as mentioned on other posts, VLC has no hardware acceleration of any kind and probably never will because VLC makes t...

I've been trying Kweb3 with my RPiB+ with turbo overclock!

It's amazing and more stable for me to use in Turbo mode (weird)! Even epiphany playing video never crashes now. You're app is beast. Youtube-dl loads super fast with Turbo enabled. It's stunning.

Re: PrBoom black screen bug... WTF?

I think this bug has gotten worse. Currently I used to use default resolution (640x480) and I started using (1024x768) without X in full screen. As of the current Noobs update of Feb 2, 2014. I can no longer use PRBoom without X. In many cases now it will only do black screen with only sound effect...

Will somebody please confirm the test points on the Pi2B are the same as the B+? PP3 (GND) and PP7 (VCC)? It's been know that the new kernel doesn't like overclocking in some cases. Btw, you didn't mention you were using Pi2B you just said B. The original PiB was very power hungry which is why I sa...

I'm using the current Febuary 2nd Noobs release. I was overclocking my raspberry pi to Turbo mode and started PRboom. It ran great in X windows. But when I logged out and started Prboom it started and gave a weird flicker and then I got 8 Act LED flashes. But it will reboot and run again. Should I l...

Why do you ask this in this thread? Wrong place.
I haven't seen an option to run epiphany in full screen mode, yet.
Updated
For Epiphany:

Code: Select all

F11
but within X ofcourse

For Kweb:

Code: Select all

Alt-F
