Auto-run application

I have developed an application that runs Python/Tkinter. At power up I want my pi to automatically login/startx/and then launch my program, all without any user input. I am using Raspbian with the latest updates.

I am very new to Linux, so this may seem trivial, sorry if it is.

Problem resolved: I had been trying to install xlib with just pip which installed the python 2 module After reading the replies more carefully I realized that I needed to to be using pip-3.2 not pip3 After installing xlib with this method all is well. Thank you for the feedback. Using pip I was able to install pyuserinput, before I had tried to manually install it by downloading it and unzipping it.
