Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

The pi I'm using for SqueezeLite isn't used for anything else, so as long as audio streamed off my NAS via the edimax wifi dongle (including flacs) plays without any clicks or pops (which it now does with usb capped to 1.1) then I'm happy. I wouldn't recommend 1.1 on a pi which isn't dedicated to a...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Version 704 and the latest firmware updates with the FIQ patch enabled still do not fix the clicking and popping issues with SqueezeLite and pcm2704 usb DACs. Annoying. Sorry for that, my experiences with the new firmware and a compatible power supply are great! I don't have any issues. Did you try...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Hi Folks, I'm still troubleshooting the soundproblems with the Raspberry Pi and I think I've found the reason for ugly sounds coming out of the headphone jack of the Pi. I tried a lot of different power supplies and found some without causing soundproblems and other causing ugly sounds coming out of...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

The Odroid U3 sounds awesome but I can't find anywhere that sells them in the UK. Importing one from Korea sounds like a hassle, as you have to deal with UK customs. I'll definitely get one when they become widely available Right now you have to Order directly in Korea. I was very impressed about t...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Hello, I am excited to try out the new build but I'm having trouble installing it on an SD card. I have tried a 8GB class 10 Patriot card and a 4GB class 6 Verbatim card with no luck booting. I used USB Image Tool in device mode with the first 2 boxes checked under "options". Is there anything I'm ...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Performance does indeed not seem to be any different - I've upped the overclock to medium, but it doesn't seem to make a noticeable difference, so I think that the bottleneck to performance on the scan must be the samba share that holds my library I'm pretty sure that it's not a problem with the Sa...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Hi Thomas I've been happily running Squeezeplug 5 for well over a year, and I've had no major issues. Is it worth me getting a new SD card and trying Version 7? I don't run any of the client stuff (Squeezelite etc), just LMS and MiniDLNA (because the LMS DLNA server is useless for videos and photos...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Up until today I've been successfully getting sound using HDMI into a splitter box which extracts the audio and sends it via SPDIF to my HiFi. It works very well but requires an external powered splitter box. Today I got a Wolfson Audio Card that sits directly on the GPIO of my RPi (it uses the P5 ...

I've got Shairport and Squeezelite running on Debian Wheezy, I've got a problem that I can only run one or the other at a time to output sound to my USB DAC, would using Squeezeplug fix this? I did a test with SqueezeLite and Shairport installed both and that worked form me if I remember it the rig...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Something new for a change... ;) I've got one Squeezeplug Pi running on WiFi, and the problem is, that once it loses connection (which can happen...) then it won't automatically reconnect. Is there a way to fix this? It's an Edimax Nano Wifi stick. Thanks. Because I haven't changed anything with Wi...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 7 available

Great project, Thomas! I too am getting crackles and pops that I didn't get with v6. The noise, which sounds like a dirty LP in poor condition, always happens during the first five seconds and last five seconds of each track, whereas the middle of each track is fairly clean. I don't know if it's v7...

Right, after hours of messing about I cannot get SqueezeLite under squeezeplug 7 to play without crackles and pops. Yes, it can. But you have to downgrade the radio to use the LMS functionality. You can chose the option from the menu of the radio!

The DAC used is a C-Media.. I can get audio to play through the DAC by entering this command aplay /usr/share/scratch/Media/Sounds/Animal/Bird.wav SO I know the Dac is working. Hmmm...I just equipped my Squeezeplug Pi with a Hifiberry DAC, sadly it does not seem to work. aplay -l and squeezelite -l both don't list the DAC. It works out of the box with PiCorePlayer, something here must be different. UPDATE: I fixed it by manually re-adding the entries in the modules file. ...
