Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

@all guys with that problem, are you using version 5.05 (the latest update) before you've installed LMS? started with 5.0 -> installed LMS -> updated to 5.05 => still running since then (one reboot because LMS stopped for an unknown reason) Please go this way: After the initial boot 1. Expand file ...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Hi there. I just got my Pi in the mail and I was wondering if someone would mind helping... I'm trying to install squeezeplug. After I finish the installation on the Pi, I get the prompt to reboot. When I answer yes it goes through the shutdown sequence without a hitch but never reboots. I tried un...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

@ all guys LMS is not working: I like to investigate the exact reason for that. So it would be the best if I could take a closer look at your specific installations. I tried to figure it out here, but all my installations on all devices run perfect. So we have some possibilities to figure things out...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

One thing that I'm realizing that I'll miss coming from Vortexbox (other than the CD auto-ripping, which I rarely used!) is the incremental media backup to a second external USB HDD. I guess I can learn a bit about Linux and do something from the putty command line, but if it was possible to add so...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

It looks like most of you agree to my plans to use the official Raspbian and Wheezy images as a platform for SqueezePlug! I forgot to tell you one more disadvantage of switching to the official versions: I can't do this with a normal patch! I have to make a complete new image and there will be no up...

Re: SqueezePlug Version 5 ready for download

Just an idea: Some of you reported problems with SqueezePlug and some WiFi devices. The problems are only with SqueezePlug and not with Raspbian. So I'm thinking about using the official Raspbian image as the base for SqueezePlug. This means I put all my stuff on top of the official Raspbian image. ...

Re: SqueezePlug for Raspberry Pi ready for download

Yup. Ive given up with squeezeplug because of this... Im heading the same way. not quite ready to give up just yet though Hi, since 5.05 I'm using the same drivers as Raspbian. So if it works with Raspbian, it should work with SqueezePlug. The only difference is that I've added some more drivers du...

1. How can I make a berryboot image from SqueezePlug? Convert your current root filesystem to SquashFS format, and give it a name like SqueezePlug.img240 Adding your own custom operating systems to the menu Note that Berryboot handles things like firmware and kernel updates, and mounting the root f...

Re: [Tutorial] Using the RasPi as a WiFi hostspot (8 Nov 12)

What are the WiFi devices that will run? I've successfully tested a BIGtec 150Mbit nano USB WLAN Stick Adapter. The EDIMAX EW-7811UN Wireless USB Adapter, 150 Mbit/s, IEEE802.11b/g/n and the Netgear N150 Wireless USB Microadapter don't work. I also saw, that you place a "driver=nl80211" in /etc/host...

Hi, sounds funny, I'm no technic affine guy, but I think you have some technical interference. This can be because the Pi is not shielded from the environment! Did you cover the Pi in a case? Maybe if you turn around the Pi a bit you can here a Dutch radio station! Or even voices from hell! :mrgreen...

Sorry, I haven't read the complete thread, maybe the answers are already given. So allow me to ask two questions: 1. How can I make a berryboot image from SqueezePlug? 2. I...

Re: Remote connection from iPhone without a router?

I've successfully set up a scenario you need, i think! I've installed an access point on RPi, this is seen by my iPad, I can connect, I get an IP from RPi and I can communicate in a local WLAN served by RPi. I can also connect more of my devices e.g. an iPod. I use this to build a WLAN for my multi ...

In this case you should update the firmware, as you know that's can be an unstable version, so you should backup the firmware first! :P
