Toggle the "windowed" option in xbmc, then you can adjust for overscan after that

That gets me about a quarter of the screen filled. Video itself plays full screen, its just the menus get squashed into the corner. Also got no sound either.

I've followed part 2 of the tutorial, and it seems to be booting (I can get to SSH), but I get nothing on the display. I thought I would copy over my Debian config.txt to the SD card (as I need this to see anything in Debian), but I dont think OpenELEC is reading it

Re: Bulding XBMC for Raspberry Pi

Using Liams image, has anyone experienced XBMC loading in a tiny corner of the screen? I'm thinking it's something to do with my confix.txt as I have to force it to recognise HDMI (hdmi_force_hotplug) and set a video format (hdmi_group=2, hdmi_mode=57)

Thanks. Would you be able to put it on somewhere like a Dropbox shared folder though? With everyone wanting to get their hands on this, your webserver will take a hammering!

The Pi will still need the small FAT partiton to read the kernel and point it to another partition?

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

@gavinlew

I actually thought that this was an OS in itself. I.e. write the compiled work to another SD card and boot straight into XBMC.

Re: OpenELEC meets Raspberry Pi - part 1 (XBMC)

Thats good to know for next time. I would copy it down from my VPS into my local VM, but with my net connection it would probably take an hour to download.

I've started on the 50gig VM. Fingers crossed!

I'm certainly learning new things with all this Linux tinkering.
