Could someone who has gotten this to work, please supply a known working YouTube URL?
Try http://www.youtube.com/html5 first and enable HTML5 support.

Re: Sense check : Adding passive speakers to a Pi

Active amplified speakers is definitely a good idea but you may want to add a USB audio DAC if you're not happy with the quality.
Also if you've experienced any humming or buzzing as reported by some users then you'll need to add a ground-loop isolator circuit.

You cannot XBMC (or should I say omxplayer) does not permit audio outputs for both Analogue 2.0 and HDMI at the same time.

Re: Pi audio out

Does the PI audio mini jack always output the same audio? Can I have both running at the same time? No and No. HDMI audio is compressed data which your TV / Monitor is solely responsible for decoding so audio quality would depend on your display device. The on-board audio is generated by a 1-bit DA...

Re: Camera board vs. USB camera

The difference between the Pi Camera and USB webcam is performance and higher frame rate with h.264 video encoding.
With a USB webcam you have low frame rate and no GPU encoding but that doesn't really matter if all you want to do is take photos.

but a range of a couple of kilometres would be nice. You're going to need a radio license if you're planning on broadcasting radio signals at great distances. Some bands are free for public use such as CB, PMR446 and FRS but that depends on your local laws and any restrictions i.e. transmission pow...

Can I use an image from a model B and would this run on a model B+ ...? Yes but only under certain conditions. The B+ has no timing crystal to drive the LAN/USB chip this signal comes directly from the SoC providing you have the latest firmware installed. Once the system has been updated then the i...

Re: Is M$ shafting XP Skype users??

I've already tried 6.6.0.106 but it doesn't allow you to login. :o I've kind of fixed the problem anyway by replacing the kernel32.dll file from a service pack 3 machine. It's a dirty hack but given kernel32.dll has to be backwards compatible for software it's unlikely to break other dependencies. I...

If you need more information let me know please. I might have missed something. When creating a port forwarding rule make sure the IP rule matches up with the Pi's IP address. If you're still unable to access services remotely then your internet service provider maybe blocking access. Try GRC's por...

Re: No Odroid W - Broadcom will not supply the SoC to Hardke

They had some SoCs for the inital batch. So someone has sold them. What I find hard to believe is they've aquired the BCM2835 and none of the Broadcom engineer's knew about it. So either Hardkernel are lying about their source of SoCs (most likely old stock from another company like Roku) or Broadc...
