Re: Camera has stopped working

Okay, fabulous, thank you, I didn't realise about checking the home directory. The part that confused me was that when I took the first image, I got a 'preview' and it ended up on my desktop.

Can anyone recommend a good book to teach me about the basics that I'm struggling with?

Thanks again.

Re: Camera has stopped working

Okay, thank you, that makes more sense.

So why am I not getting a saved image as the command requests?

Re: iPad access

Thank you for the suggestion, the VNC app, when I try to connect, offers this error:
'the port on which the computer is listening for a connection could not be contacted'.

What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks,

Re: Running 'headless'

Hove, Fruitoftheloom and TrevorAppleton, I salute you, thank you.

I suspect I am very fortunate that I have the correct set up (wireless Mac and router) for easy access, but as I type I am 'headless' and it only took me five minutes to do it too.

Running 'headless'

Please be VERY gentle, I am new here yet old and not used to code or Raspberry Pi's. I was given a B+ for Christmas (I have fancied a Pi for a while and thought I might lean something useful). The last time I tried to program was in Basic on my ZX Spectrum and I was trying to copy cheats from Crash ...
