This is the guide I followed. Perhaps I missed a step. I'll be trying to fix it after work today

Okay so it happened again even after the format. I think when I'm making the pi static ip; its messing something up. Perhaps this is a problem others have had?

yeah no luck there.

I ended up just reformatting the card. and just redoing the mumble server.

yes I did. While I could still connect to the pi at that fixed address, it still didn't show the name of the pi. Thanks
