Re: Can't install app cause of unmet dependencies

I was reading that page you linked and I read this build-dep source_pkg Causes apt-get to install/remove packages in an attempt to satisfy the build dependencies for a source package. So I tried it and I got this sudo apt-get build-dep libsdl1.2-dev Reading package lists... Done Building dependency ...

Re: Can't install app cause of unmet dependencies

You should always synch the repositories before trying to undertake apt-get install sudo apt-get update . I did that but I didn't think to mention it. IMO start with a fresh install of Jessie I can't just wipe my computer and start over! Simply put this is what my problem is The following pa...

Can't install app cause of unmet dependencies

Re: Installing Retropie straight to RPi?

Hiya, I tried everything on the waveshare website but it didn't work with RetroPie, the screen works with the image you get with it. I added some code that duplicates the hdmi feed and forces it through the lcd screen which is great but now it's dead show, I think it's to slow to play with. Do you ...

Hi, thanks for the reply, I have done what you have said and now it loads up properly when I type in emulationstation like you said, how do I get it to boot straight in to RetroPie? The lcd only shows a blinking_ and the RetroPie screen is pushed to the hdmi, how do I set it to be on the lcd screen...

I got a reply and this is what they said.
I'm glad you love Altitude enough to want it everywhere! Unfortunately, there are no plans to support more devices.
Oh well. Thank you for taking the time to help me Dougie. :)

Re: Can I run Altitude Game on Rpi?

Start by finding ../bin/java run the file command against anything that's executable in that directory. Replace each executable file with a copy from /usr/bin/j* then do the same thing for the ../lib directory. You could also hack at the scripts so that they use /etc/alternatives/java (and friends)...

Re: Can I run Altitude Game on Rpi?

Why not rip out the java JVM that's delivered with that package and replace it with the ARM based JVM. The class and jar files should run (based on Java's write once, run anywhere principle). Your problem is that your package brings an X86 JVM with it and your shell script tries to get that thing r...

Re: Can I run Altitude Game on Rpi?

If it comes with an inbuilt JRE ( Java runtime environment ) then its very likely that that binary is for x86/amd64 architecture and will not work on the Raspberry Pi. Oh I see. :( Well could I try anyways? Just to make sure. ;) If so then why didn't the sh script work and how do I fix the errors?

Can I run Altitude Game on Rpi?

I'm not sure if any of you have ever played this game before but my dad used to play it when I was little. I recently thought of it and wondered if it would run on rpi. I went to there home page http://altitudegame.com/ and it says that it runs on mac, windows, and linux. But there is no specs of wh...

Re: Will these Tactile Push Buttons work with adafruit tft?

My fellow Minnesotan is correct, you need to solder the buttons. Buy the buttons mentioned on the same page as the screen, it will be cheaper to avoid paying shipping twice, and you know they will fit. I already have the screen. Got it for my birthday. And it came with the buttons. Your mileage may...

Re: Will these Tactile Push Buttons work with adafruit tft?

I understand what you are saying and I think that it is important but I'm afraid that I'll save up money for a while then finally be able to get a soldering kit and I'll use it that once but not any other time. Bassicaly I don't know that I'll be able to use it for anything else because I don't hav...

Well um so is there no such thing as covers for the buttons? :?: :? um, ehem... :o ... you are worried about the wrong problem. So many folks do that... they are only interested in the interface (how does it look) and they have no concern for the infrustructure (is it going to work?) !! Don't worry...

An idea... Remove ~/.config/menus/lxde-pi-applications.menu if it exists. I've been having the same problem, the recently added "piclone" and "geany" wouldn't show up in the menu. I tried the above and removed the "lxde-pi-applications.menu", then restarted lxpanel and it works!. Both "Geany" and "...
