Re: Games are sometimes laggy and audio is distorted retro p

Use the fceumm Libretro/Retroarch core instead of the Nestopia core, overclock you Pi-1 to 1GHz, and you will have every NES game running smooth :) okay so I know how to overclock but I am not sure how to change/use the fceumm Libretro/Retroarch core instead of the Nestopia core. Could you please t...

Re: Games are sometimes laggy and audio is distorted retro p

The Raspberry Pi B+ CPU won't cope with the Genesis Plus GX libretro core, which your distro must be using. Genesis Plus GX is a 100% accurate Sega Mega Drive and Master System emulator, so it takes a certain amount of CPU power to work. You can use the arm-optimized PicoDrive core, but it's far le...

How can I set the volume for omxplayer before video starts

How can I set the volume before the video starts playing in omxplayer? Because of right now I have to unplug my speakers, turn the volume WAAAAy down (or risk scaring me and the neighborhood half out of our wits ;) ) , then plug back in the speaker. It doesn't have anything to do with the video file...

How can I set up gpio buttons for save/load/reset retropie?

I what one to exit game, one to save state, one to load state, and one to reset game. I am using the adafruit 2.8" tft display for my project https:/...

Re: Retro pie (not menu) freezes when buttons are pressed

Okay I figured it out... sorta The thing is, is that I changed the keyboard layout in the retro pie menu but for some reason that layout didn't carry over into the games. So it only works for the menu. So if someone knows how to change it for in the game I would appreciate it if you could tell me ho...

Retro pie (not menu) freezes when buttons are pressed

I am trying to make a retro pie system using my tft display . Now I don't know if using the tft display is relevant to the problem. I downloaded the pocket pigrrl img from adafruit so it would work on my screen. https://learn.adafruit.com/pocket-pigrrl/software-1 The menu worked fine (except for the...

screen quality not so great in retro pie emulators

Ok let me first start off saying the quality of the menu screen looks awesome! Nice resolution and everything. But when I play games in the emulators (GB, NES, SNES, Genesis) the quality is kinda blurred. I mean it isn't bad. You can still play fine but I have also used mednafen before and the quali...

Re: How to keep the keyboard layout the same!!!

IIRC this was a problem with the first version of the GUI config program and should have been solved in later versions. Try updating / upgrading. AFAIK setting it through raspi-config should work fine. Okay so I did sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and after reboot...

Re: N64 not showing up even with ROMs loaded?

I am assuming you are using retro pie. If so then I've had the same problem. I think it has to do with BIOS or something but I don't know for sure. If it does have to do with that then I would appreciate someone telling me and rogers017 how to install the bios or whatever you have to do.
