Re: snap - new universal linux packaging

Is this related to the Ubuntu Snappy Core OS for the RPi, which has been available since the RPi 2 Model B was released in Feb 2015?

Re: NOOBS Lite custom OS version

If you simply want to install a 'standard' supported OS other than Raspbian, connect your RPi to an working wired ethernet port on a network with internet access. You can also use a WiFi connection with an RPi3 or if using the 'official' wifi dongle. If you want to prepare your own customised versio...

Re: codebug tether python3 commands

In the script, when i tested it, i removed the # on these line. Resulting in error when running... In your original post you said the lines now commented out were 'not working'. In this message you say 'Resulting in error' If it results in an error, what is the error message? (Error messages are no...

Just for clarification: in the sample code you have posted the cb.clear and cb.set_pixel calls are commented out with the # at the beginning of the line. Is that the way you are testing?

Re: NOOBS 1.9 issues on RPi3

After installing Raspbian from NOOBs and using it, after a few boots, when I reboot Raspbian corrupts for no reason, Does it really corrupt when you reboot it? Or does it perhaps corrupt as you close it down, leading to a situation where you can't reboot it? It it might be the latter, what is your ...

Re: Can't use GPIO

Have you named your script gpiozero.py by any chance? If so, change it and delete any files named gpiozero.py or gpiozero.pyc in your working directory. If that isn't the issue, copying the error message here will be more productive than just referring to "a massive screed... " Python spits out erro...

I don't think we've got the full story here. If I try to use RPi.GPIO directly from the Python interpreter REPL I see: pi@rpi2b ~/ivan $ python3 Python 3.4.2 (default, Oct 19 2014, 13:31:11) [GCC 4.9.1] on linux Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import RPi.GP...

Re: Rpi don't install

What is the first [ #! ] line of led.py?

And are you using a very old release of the Operating System for your RPi? Because RPi.GPIO has been part of the standard tools included with the OS for ages, you shouldn't need to install it yourself.

From: http://infocenter.arm.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.arm.doc.dai0195b/index.html The ARM11 family of processors contain three 32-bit registers within the system co-processor (CP15), which can be used to obtain performance metrics. One register is a clock cycle counter (CCNT), which can be enabl...

Re: Rpi screen terminal(console) SSH

Do you mean you want to sit at your Mac and see the 'Big Raspberry' gui of your RPi on the Mac screen? If so - in general terms because I am not a Mac user: 1] check that your Mac is running an X windows server, and that there is no firewall setting preventing access to it from your RPi. 2] make the...

It seems that you need a crosslink ethernet cable to connect the laptop and raspberry directly and the normal ethernet cable is not working. If you can confirm this, maybe it can be added to the troubleshooting process, here in this forum. I think that can NOT be confirmed. As you have found, conne...
