Re: nuScratch is now default scratch

After creating a new SD without X11vnc installed on it to test the File open asking to save bug, I've come up with more basic problem :( When I create a simple test script and try and save it 1. There is no Scratch Projects folder within Documents folder 2. If I try and save in Documents - it gives ...

Re: nuScratch is now default scratch

Can I make a general comment here please :) Fps increase seems to a good idea - I personally don't know what it means in the Scratch context - AFAIK - I can't measure it myself - but if its going up -- I can believe that is a good thing :) CPU high when program doing nothing is a bad thing as it doe...

Re: nuScratch is now default scratch

I suggest you Scratch guys not to get too vexed as yet about the performance of NuScratch
As a Scratch Master - its the ONLY thing that matters :)

I didn't even know you could use a Pi for other things :)

Why would you? :)

Re: nuScratch is now default scratch

ok - I've sussed out that to run old Scratch - LX terminal - /usr/bin/scratch.old I've had a think and a play - too many things have changed to make it a simple task of finding the CPU/slowness issue - asteroids runs better on new GUI/OldScratch than new GUI/NuScratch but not anywhere near my memory...

Odd choice of applications to put in the panel by default.
The ways of the Gods cannot be understood by us muggles :)

And agreed that the CPU monitor defeats its raison d'etre by using two shades of grey :)

Be nice to the NOOBIEs

There are a LOT of first time posters who've just got a Pi and are asking a lot of typical noobie questions.

Lets be nice to them :)

It feels faster over VNC
I thought that but thought it was some sort of placebo effect :)

I'll try and do a bit more comparisioin between two running setups

Suggestion for New GUI Menu

There is a menu item called Preferences which is fine but it contains things that I'd call system tools such as Gparted and there is no System/System Tools menu option.

So I'd suggest a little tweak on the next release
