Re: Kweb Suite (Minimal Kiosk Browser, omxplayerGUI)

Modest? feature requests: I have a few modest suggestions/feature requests for kweb you may or may not wish to consider. I know you are tring to keep kweb, slim, sleek and therefore fast but I don't think they would slow kweb down or be too hard to implement( but then I know nothing of such things!)...

Re: Howto: Flash support for most browsers (RPi 2/3)

I have renamed and rewritten the OP to support Flash for most browsers (except for epiphany and kweb3). Today I installed your freshplayer plugin/wrapper and tried it out in kweb and firefox. (I had used it successfully a long time ago in ubuntu mate for raspberry). I tried it on a couple of sites ...

Re: Flash Player now available for Chromium

It says Adobe Flash Player - Version: 11.2.999.999 Shockwave Flash 11.2 r999 which is odd, since TCM is complaining it wants > 11.1 and it looks to me like 11.2 is indeed greater than 11.1. Maybe it's time to complain to them. I'd really like to use my Pi as a micro-media center connected to the TV...

Solved: register& use correct adobe flash version

The pepper flash version of adobe flash player installed by Raspbian Pixel as part of Chromium browser is not ( out of the box) recognized and reported as the correct current version by Chromium even though the current version is in fact actually installed. Thus when navigating to the chrome://plugi...

flash plugin chromium keeps re-enabling itself

While web browsing I had been noticing on various occasions, especially on certain flash infused sites eg the Uk's notorious Daily Mail that chromium would become very sluggish sometimes triggering the unresponsive warning. Suspicions aroused I checked chromium's plugins and sure enough flash was sh...

Smtube for quick efficient Youtube browsing

It may be of interest to some users of omxplayergui who enjoy Youtube to know that omxplayergui can be designated and used by Smtube -Youtube browser as it's video player engine. Surprisingly considering it's many virtues as a media player I do not see much discussion on these forums concerning mpv . https://mpv.io/ . Mpv now supports hardware accelerated high def video decoding on the raspberry pi using mmal (Multi-Media Abstraction Layer) and it will decode just about any ...

easy way to stop continual pauses youtube playback chromium

If you are annoyed with continual pauses in youtube playback in Chromium an apparent and easy solution is to enter chrome://flags in your address bar, then search down until you find Media Source API, disable it and relaunch your browser. As I understand it this disables dash playback and allows pro...
