You are tempting me, but I am not sure I really have the time to do something like this justice.

Re: (UPDATE) Drivers for TL-WN725N V2 - 3.6.11+ -> 4.1.xx+

Hi, Is it possible to install, this driver, so that, it is possible to move the SD card from a Pi 2, to a Pi 3, to a Pi Zero or a Pi B. Would I be better off, buying another Wi-Fi device? There are two versions of the driver. One for Pi 2 B and 3 B which has "-v7" in the filename and one for all th...

To all intents and purposes, the Pi3 is a turbo charged Pi2 ... , with the only significant bit being, that they will each needs a kernel to suit the processor in each. Further everything is identical.

Re: i cant play flash streams

Chromium does work with HTML5, but you can't just say, "You! Play HTML5!" It's up to the designers who made the website, and not having the smarts to use HTML5 and use a dying technology. Ask the website if they can redesign to use HTML5. It takes money to upgrade to HTML5. If they wanted to spend ...

USB Memory Stick - /dev/ vs uuid

Running Wheezy on a RPi B, with a 2 amp power supply, 2x 32 Gig. USB SANDISK memory sticks. Running headless: The first memory stick ( /dev/sda1 ) is mounted using UUID, system boots quickly. Add second identical memory stick, ( /dev/sdb1 ), mounted this stick using /dev/sdb1 in fstab and have very ...

I'd rather build a Solar Charging device, which would be independent of the RPi, and plugged into the standard power connecter on the RPi ... , just my preference.

I bought a RPi Zero, because of its size, because of its extra RAM, because it is slightly faster than an A or B without overclocking, and it was cheap ...

Edit :
Most importantly it use less power than the other RPi's

Re: USB Modem Speeds?

What speeds do you get using those devices in your desktop or laptop, in the same location?

I get 18 - 22 Mbps with a Vodafone K4605, and slightly better when used from my desktop. But then I am in a good location with regard to cellular towers.

Re: How reliable is the Raspberry Pi 3

So basically what I am saying is - save yourself time and frustration by buying good quality SD cards, and as always with the RPi's - good quality power supplies are well worth their higher cost, if long term reliability is your goal. Good quality PSUs really aren't that expensive and are definitel...

Re: How reliable is the Raspberry Pi 3

I don't yet have a RPi 3 B, I do have a RPi B, with a good Samsung SD card in it, it has been running for 18 months, without issue. A few weeks ago I bought 2x cheap Samsung SD cards, built a test system on my RPi Zero, on one of these cards, put it in my RPi B and it crashed and died with file syst...

Re: Remote network access via 3G

Regarding the 3G side - local service providers do not allow any incoming connections to the 3G device from outside. Some will allow it after you sign a heap of application forms and disclaimer forms, done on a SIM by SIM basis, possible that your service providers do not have the same or similar is...

First suspect, is your power supply, then an overly thin wire from power supply to you Pi Zero ... , a possibly bad wi-fi dongle is not impossible, but not likely.

Re: multicore/thread for mplayer

Hello, I am using mplayer with /dev/video0 for watching/grabbing video with my RPi 3. When I open "top" command, I see that mplayer (in list of processes) is using 96% CPU, but total cpu used is around 25%. I thing this means, that mplayer is maybe using just one core/thread. Is there any way how t...

Use trained homing-pigeon/parrot crossbreeds to memorise and deliver the data. A speech-to-text engine will be able to convert the data back to enable it to be posted on your django. RFC 1149 describes a far more efficient way of using Avian carriers, and it has been successfully implemented and te...

Don't have a RPi 3, yet, but do not see anything for cause to be alarmed about, expect that to be a normal boot up sequence, few warnings but no errors as DirkS noted.

Re: MP3 download server

Naming scheme currently in use is as follows;

Title + Name - Title/Subject - date

Pastor John Smith - Need For FForgivness - 03032016.mp3

Father John Smith - Need For Forgiveness - 03032016.mp3

Am I likely to have issues with that.

Thanks
