Tascam US144 MK11

I have a Tascam US 144 MK11, which I used with my laptop, till it got thieved. From my Googling this device is reported as not working, or only playback, on Linux. All refferences I have seen are rather dated. Have there been any improvements in support for this device, so that I might use it with m...

Re: Downloading torrents

The OS ( Raspbian ) is installed on my SD card, I mount my external USB harddrive on /mnt/usbhdd. All directories required for downloading torrents are created on the external USB harddrive. Nothing is saved to the SD card. Deluge or Transmission both work very well.

Dropbox, or Google's equivalent, just copy the file to your local folder and the remote gets updated?

Re: Internet Access with Direct Ethernet

I it not possible to connect the RPi to the same router your Windows PC uses to connect to the internet? Internet routers typically have 4 ethernet ports for wired connectivity, and may or may not have Wi-Fi connectifity. If Wi-Fi connectivity is available you can usually connect more users than mos...

Audio Recorder - Ebooks

Hi,

Looking for a quality audio recording device to include with a RPi B+ for recording voice. Someone reading a book to produce an audio book.

Wolfson Audio DAC does not seem to be supported on B+ yet.

Any other viable solutions.

Thanks

Re: Scamp AV Player

yes, if i understand the question correctly. You can control Scamp from SSH, and then the video/audio play on the RPi. Have a nice day, Matt No, not what was mean't - sorry. Can Scamp output video to the terminal window from which it was started on the command line? Or does it only ouput video to t...

Re: New Raspberry Pi - Wireless Question

You can also connect the RPi to an old TV using the composite output, run startx to get desktop, then click wi-fi setup icon. If your wi-fi dongle is supported, then you are set, otherwise you will have to connect to internet for update and drivers, or switch to a wi-fi device that is supported out ...

Recon the book will still be as relevant as it was for the original RPi Model B, basically what changed, is that the B+ now uses less power, has a Micro-SD card, instead of an SD card, and has 2x extra USB ports ... , the rest is the same ...

Hmmm .... , can you say if your keyboard and USB wi-fi dongle work/function when plugged into another computer?

That is the USB ports on your RPi might not be functioning, is your RPi a B+ version?

Re: Model B not shutting down

On a RPi model B, after doing an rpi-update, I have same problem. Pi seems to shut down, but LED's remain active/lit. This behavior started immiediately after the update. Seems more confusing than harmfull, but should not be that way.

Re: Configure wifi

The output of "lsusb" posted, does not show any USB devices connected to your RPi. So either, there are no devices connected to your USB ports on your RPi, or, the device is defective and not functioning, or, the output is not from your RPi ... , that is how I see it ...
