When i type "start x", I get a blank screen with a cursor and I get the error in my log file "EE fbidev(0) fbioblank: operation not permitted". How should I fix this? Also, what does this error mean?
P.S. Sorry for the repeat post, but this is a new error.

Have you tried init 0?

I am using kali linux version 1.0.5. When I typed startx today, nothing showed up on the screen except for my cursor. I went back to the log file and noiticed the error "EE fbidev(0) fbioblank: operation not permitted". How do I fix this?

(P.S.) this is the only error there was in the log file
