So.. if I want to play music on the raspberry pi I just put mp3 files in the sd card and plug it in in the raspberry pi?

how do i change keyboard layout?
i want to change it to us international and that shift+3 = # The raspberry pi uses a different layout that I don't know.. I tried changing it but nothing works...

I can't login normally because I changed it too desktop booting. I want to go and change that. How do I do that?
