Re: Mass Hysteria comes to raspberrypi.org

Although on paper, the CHIP is better (better even than a "regular" Pi, much less the Zero) in just about every way (all except one, see below) than the Pi, the fact is that there are 7 things wrong with it: It is still vaporware, It is still vaporware, It is still vaporware, It is still vaporware,...

Re: Meet Raspberry Pi Zero: the $5 computer

I am not certain if I should laugh or cry. Voicing a legit and well justified concern gets tons of childish flaming and personal attacks, not only from illiterate people and/or people how are incapable of understanding what they read, but also from moderators and foundation members. Quite pathetic....

Re: Meet Raspberry Pi Zero: the $5 computer

And I will look for it. But it's quite crapy situation that these 2 websites that could sell the Zero at the advertised price could empty stocks instantly while the local shops have some on stock right this moment and nobody buys them because they are so very close to the price of a Pi2. Isn't this...

Re: Meet Raspberry Pi Zero: the $5 computer

Since you are in the EU I see no reason why you cannot buy from PiHut, Pimoroni etc and get it delivered fairly quickly.
That person just wants to complain, that's what people "do". This is a real world so there isn't any "humanrobots" that you program to always like your product.

Lets say i wanted to setup a web server what distribution would be best? The better question would be, "what web server?" You get a choice of Apache2, Lighttpd, NGINX, and a few others. Re: Meet Raspberry Pi Zero: the $5 computer

To be honest, the Zero is the first successive Pi model that I won't be buying, but that's because I always thought the 'A' with just one USB port was too crippled, and this is essentially a mini 'A'. Like the original Pis it's going to need some additional hardware to make it really usable, such a...

C´mon guys, don´t you get it?????? The problem here is that the OP (and others I guess) don´t realize that what we´re getting here is basically a more powerful A+ at a lower price (and smaller). It´s an A+ with a faster processor (well, the same processor running faster) and more RAM (because as fa...
