I personally would rather there WEREN'T special mobile sites - its a b*tch fighting with these cut down / can't do much versions of sites when my Samsung Galaxy Tab and S2 can deal with the full on site (even this oddball) with no problems because of their large screens

You need to do the chmod BEFORE you attempt to start the GUI (just after you entered passwords and such)

There is something odd going on though, as I posted elsewhere, with root. I can only get in as root with ssh

And another longtime Slug user - though its 'asleep' at the moment (dead memory stick - see swap issue elsewhere)

I also have a £99 HP Touchpad, plus an original 7" Galaxy Tab - solid state computing is the way to go

I think we're straying from the main Use Case for the raspi - that of a classroom of kids all sat with one in front of them with a screen, keyboard and mouse - there's no option to have 'remote machines' etc
