Re: Peaceview PZEM-004T Energy Module

I have been using the Peacefair Pzem-004T for the last year or so and have found them to be very reliable. So far I have only used them with ESP8266's but moving forward I might hook it up to a Pi. Yes, they are. I've been using it for a while too, but with a HC-06 module. The only thing i hate of ...

Re: bme680 temperature, humidity, pressure and gas sensor

well, i wrote my code for a bme280
and that was easy since the datasheet was really complete
but this one is all but complete. for example, calibration registers are not even listed!
it will not be that easy to write a working python code for this thing..

SC16IS750 - I2C/SPI to UART bridge

Hello, i'm having some fun with a SC16IS750 board and it seems a quite good possibility to have an additional UART for raspberry So i wrote some python code to use it (much more fun than a dt overlay..), but i'm trying to understand the proper way to use it. There are TX and RX buffer, hardware and ...

help with 1.27mm connector

Hello all,
i've just received from China a sensor with a single connector that is a 2x5 1.27mm pins.
Well, i realised i can't manage it :)
so i'm looking for a sort of cable/converter/something but i don't even know how to call this connector.
Any help? :)
thanks

Re: PIR senor on one Pi, Buzzer on another

MQTT is a very good choice and lets you do tons of other things (you can pass information from one pi to the other as you want), it has websockets embedded and so on But there is a simpler solution that is using joan's pigpio. This brilliant piece of software allows you to control pi's gpios from an...

look at the basic example on the paho webpage
https://eclipse.org/paho/clients/js/

as you see, the subscribe part is under the "onConnect" function.

PS: there is an updated version of the library (1.0.3) that has automatic reconnect.

Re: Mcp23017 Allows me only 0x20 to 0x28(I2C)?

That gives you the option on 8 extra MCP23017's. If you need more than that then the TCA/PCA 954x chips are your best bet. (You can even cascade or address them to add even more muxed buses). well, for a basic usage i have to admit also bitbanging i2c could be an option and this would allow +8 mcp ...

Yeah I am going to use more thant 8 mcp23017 IC for my circuit.Bu As I mentioned you before it only allows me 0x20 to 0x27(so maximum 8 mcp IC).I just would like to add more than 8 but adresses should start from 0x27 to 0x70 this is not gonna happen with i2c multiplexer you'll have multiple 0x20 de...

But I would like to add and use more gpio expander. What should I do to be able to use more than 8 slaves? Use i2c multiplexer to c...

this only means you need to improve your searching skills.

Why would it works badly? what is special about this library? lol it's terrible

have a nice, deep and focused read to the datasheet:

to me, par. 1.4 would be enough to trash that chip and buy a 23017
