Re: Connecting TTL with different voltages

sadly i have no 3.3V power source where the sensor is located, so i can't use those cheap level shifters.. i tried with some resistors on TX line, but it's only working a little better, it freezes after a while so i need to put something more. probably i'll try to take the 5V to 3.3 with some diodes...

Connecting TTL with different voltages

Hello all, i have to connect two devices: - a pzem-004t module (TTL @ 5V) - a hm-10 module (TTL @3.3V) This is a remote (BLE) voltage current sensor so i have to limit as much as possible space used. The only cable i'm giving is a cut USB cable sourcing 5V for power. Now, the easiest thing to do wou...

Re: Help with BLE device and bluepy "delegate"

(Sorry, I didn't subscribe to this thread) As I recall, the callback is passed the characteristic UUID of the notifying characteristic, so that can be used to differentiate the messages, right? well, but the characteristic i'm using is always the same (the one that lets me use the module as a remot...

Re: Help with BLE device and bluepy "delegate"

As usual, I don't completely understand. For others reading this, it's not a BLE question, it's a general Python programming question. I've never been too hung up about using global variables. Think of your Python script as a class; then they just become class variables. Having played a little with...

Help with BLE device and bluepy "delegate"

Hello, i'm using a HM-10 module with bluepy and i have no problem sending or receiving data, and this is good What i have not clear is the right way to manage command/responses sent to the remote device. I mean, now i have a HC-06 device: it's a remote serial on BT, and for each command i need to se...

@Massi I'll run the original code later to see if I can reproduce the problem. Using the bank calls would be quicker for multiple GPIO. as usual, thank you a lot :) it's also happening with the stepper code you linked on your site: #!/usr/bin/env python3 #coding=utf-8 import pigpio from time import...

Re: New pigpio Python module

Dear Joan, probably i'm wrong, but i'm seeing a problem with your python module in a specific case. Pigpio version: 64 (the last on repositories for jessie) I'm driving a stepper motor with a test code, trying to reset gpio to low on exit (on keyboard interrupt) Here is the code #!/usr/bin/python im...

I'm not married to a specific display size, I am married to the concept of keeping the power requirements as low as possible . I would like a hat but its not a deal breaker. I would prefer not to re-invent the wheel, thinking this must have been done by somebody already rather than coding it all fr...

Re: Monochrome LCD 128/64 Display letter selection input?

I can't seem to find a 128/64 (or larger) Monochrome LCD You'll never gonna be able to put all the alphabet in a 128x64 pixels display. But you can think about letting them rotate.. it would be also a nice challenge. Take a cheap SSD1306 display, a rotary encoder and a button (or a clickable rotary...

Hello, i'm playing with a CC41-A module (something like the HC-10) and with the magnificient bluepy it's as easy as hell, but i'd like to ask if you are having some issues with the module going to sleep and becoming no more responsive at all (via BT) after a while. with "a while" i mean also one day...

well, i think you need a IR led :)
(to be honest, it's much better to drive the IR led with 5V supply and a transistor, since powered with a GPIO it's gonna reach only some cm of range, but that's another film..)

Yes. I viewed his and tried to replicate with USB serial cable. But it's not replying back to pi. Dont know where the error is
did you connect the sensor to mains?
it's not going to work if you connect only the serial port :)
(be careful with mains..)
