Re: Installing WiFi USB adapter driver from cd

Would it not be easier to use a USB Wireless Adaptor which is already supported by Raspbian ?

Ie RT5370 or RTL8188CUS

Re: Banana pi, 1ghz duel core clone.

"So why should we buy such a clone?" The reason for purchasing is because the Pi does not do what people expect it do, as shown by every single post by people who want all the features which the Pi does not offer ie the whingers and whiners who still want to pay $35 for a $70 product Personally I am...

Though it states Linux it is for the Intel x86 architecture, the Pi use ARM architecture, you would need the source code and compile yourself........

Re: Cambridge Bluetooth causing PI to crash

I'm not tethering via bluetooth for network or audio but for a serial port (SPP). I guess this may be the difference. Unfortunately I don;t have the time to create a debug kernel to get more information (is there an easier way to use the debug modules?). I guess at present I'm stranded on 3.6 kerne...

Raspbian Wheezy has version 3.8.0-11.5

Raspbian Testing Jessie has version 3.8.1-1.1

Maybe compile the later version from source http://sourceforge.net/p/ddclient/wiki/Home ?

Re: Cambridge Bluetooth causing PI to crash

Pulling USB Dongles can cause power issues if plugged into the Pi's USB Port, there have been several posts regarding this foible which does not effect everyone. A solution which seems to work is to use a short USB Extension Cable. I presume you are using Jan 2014 Raspbian and undertaken sudo apt-ge...
