No no, its fine, mine does that as well and it functions ok.
Do I always need the usb on drive to boot here. When I take it put I still see my Mac install

Ok I got stretch install on my Mac ,

When I install I saw run with persistence , what that means ?

Seems I need to keep usb drive on machine ?

How do I go about replacing entire Mac with this stretch so I don’t need the usb

yes using the case .

only thing connected is a hdmi monitor, nothing else, no keyboard no mouse
