Re: Need Help With Apache and Audio Codecs

I managed to solve this. I'm using relays (controlled by gpio) to switch power to each port on a usb hub to electrically disconnect the unused audio codecs (there's 3 connected to the hub). When the python script I wrote to switch the ports is activated, it would switch on one codec, and disconnect ...

Re: Case Power Query

I don't see why this wouldn't work. As long as the current draw of the usb hub and raspberry pi combined doesn't pull more current than the adapter can supply, then you should have no problem splitting the power cord inside the case. Obviously, make sure all your connections are properly insulated a...

Need Help With Apache and Audio Codecs

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some direction on how to give my apache server access to my usb audio codec. Right now, I'm running an site that switches the GPIO pins by calling python scripts. It appears that when these run, they run within the server and nothing is displayed on the screen. I've writ...

Re: Streaming Multiple USB Audio Inputs

I'll try to make up a project file in the near future to describe, in detail, what it is I'm working on. It won't be this month unfortunately, as I'm swamped trying to finish the project, preparing to graduate, and move to start a new job. I'll see if I can post some of the details in the coming wee...

Re: Streaming Multiple USB Audio Inputs

Just an FYI for anyone who stumbles across this in the search: The Pi was not able to process the incoming USB data from 3 audio codecs fast enough to support streaming. 2 codecs worked with some patchy results ( at 44.1 kHz, 16 bit, MP3 encoded bitrate=192 ). Using darkice and Icecast2 to stream th...

Streaming Multiple USB Audio Inputs

Hi Everyone, I'm working on a project for my thesis, and I've hit a bit of a snag in the process. Right now, I've designed and built 3 usb audio inputs that are connected and working (arecord makes great sample clips) with the pi (running raspbian). The issue I've encountered is trying to find some ...
