You can also setup a samba share.

Or you can Try using FTP again - You should be able to find everything you need in my Guide for UltraSlim. ( Check the SSH/FTP Section )

@Rionoskae - we tested out your image on Mother's Day. We only had two people logging onto the server so it wasn't under heavy load. Anyways the kids were playing with it for 2-3 hours and the server never had any problems whatsoever. My older nephew said that he didn't like to play minecraft anymo...

Hello, I haven't actually tested your image, but I do have one suggestion: I have read that mounting the home partition to a usb 2.0 or 3.0 stick plugged into the raspberry pi increases the read/warite rate greatly. starting now to test 2.2 ;-) I downloaded this, confirmed that it boots, and plan to try it out with my 2 nephews over the weekend. I've tried the suggestions above regarding AirPlay in the new Gotham... Still no dice.

So JDK 1.9.0 vs 1.8.0 = winner jdk 1.8.0 I also finally had time to play around with some of the plugins recommended HERE and I'm seriously considering setting up world-border in the default image. It reduced CPU usage 15-20% & dramatically increased spawn time after running the border fill command....
