Hi floripaolo, I've just tried setting up my Pi 0 W like you have and I have it working with the brcmfmac driver blacklisted and connected to my wifi network using the rtl8188fu driver using a wifi module with the same USB id you have. Not sure how you got kernel 4.19.66+ #1253 as it's not available...

Re: WIFI dongle problem/spotty ssh connection

With the newer versions of Raspbian on the Pi do not edit file /etc/network/interfaces as this can really mess up the network configuration. Leave it as the default like # interfaces(5) file used by ifup(8) and ifdown(8) # Please note that this file is written to be used with dhcpcd # For static IP,...

Re: Help needed with installing Tenda U6 Wifi dongle (rtl8192eu)

I compile a variety of wifi drivers for Raspbian OS including the 8192eu driver. My drivers are available at http://downloads.fars-robotics.net/wifi-drivers/ . Select the driver file that matches the output of command uname -a on your Pi. As an example on my Pi uname -a shows Linux Pi-2B-b 4.19.95-v...

Been following this thread this morning and out of curiosity installed smb on one of my Pi, updated /etc/samba/smb.conf as suggested and I now finally appear to have things working. Last thing I needed to do was to create the smbpasswd for user pi and now I can access my Pi directly from my windows ...

I've been checking out the mt7610 driver on various Pi. Kind of works OK although it seems it doesn't like being to far from the wifi AP. Tried on a Pi 4, Pi 3 an old Pi B+. Came across this old post of mine explaining why I stopped compiling the mt7610 driver. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/vie...

Well, the driver is there. I guess you are missing the necessary firmware it needs to run the wifi module. You can check the firmware is missing using command dmesg | less and scroll through the data using up and down arrow keys and key q to terminate the command. I got the error [86262.132356] mt76...
