None of them as far as I know. Out of interest, why do you want this capability? Do you have 1080p120 source material?

Additional NOOBS OSes don't just appear on demand. You'll have to add them yourself.

Re: The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Q&A thread

My guess is 1.5 ghz stable with slight voltage bump, 1ghz ram and 500mhz l2 cache. If you mean 1.5GHz with a slight voltage increase for the CPUs, that's been tried and confirmed working on at least one Pi3B. The RAM is never going to hit 1GHz (except internally as it's DDR2). It runs at 450MHz by ...

Re: RPi 3 SoC at nearly 100 °C, reporting 80 °C

Or to highlight the part that really matters... So, we’ve got my Pi 3s which hit 100°C and don’t throttle; your Pi 3s which hit 60°C and don’t need to throttle; and the test Pi 3 at the Foundation, which hits 83°C and correctly throttles. It's the apparent extremely wide spread in reported temperatu...

Re: Future gpu upgrades

As it's unusual to find a current 40nm VC4 that doesn't run happily at 500MHz, a die-shrink to 28nm could get us up to around 750MHz in theory. I realise that we'd still be stuck with the same feature-set, but I wonder how the cost of that would compare to a complete redesign from the ground up whil...

I like this one for £1, easy to peel off the thermal backing tape, sticks firmly, and appears very effective. http://thepihut.com/collections/raspberry-pi-accessories/products/raspberry-pi-heatsink Nice. That's very similar to the one on my Pi2B that drops load temps by around 10°C in a ventilated ...

My Pi3 came in an anti-static bag wrapped in tissue paper and in a jiffy bag. No mechanical protection for the device at all! Consider your plain white box a luxury! Anti-static bad and tissue paper! You were lucky. My Raspberry Pi arrived wrapped in a dirty post-it with the words "beware of the st...

Re: Please Help. What HDMI-VGA adapter will work?

As the cable doesn't seem to work with any hardware you try it with, it seems fair to put the blame on the cable at this stage. There are plenty of HDMI-to-VGA converters around that work very well in conjunction with a standard VGA-to-VGA cable. A friend uses this one with an early Pi with no probl...

Re: Emulation on the Pi3: Initial Testing

The Titles Tested were ones at the 'High Performance' end of the spectrum, e.g N.A.R.C, Outrun, Smash TV. On the Pi1 they ran at approx 50-60% and 90% on the Pi2. Not unless you can confirm whether or not it was an overclocked Pi2B. Please don't make me do the tests myself or I'll get sucked into r...

I've just tried the same and it installs and launches as expected on a fully updated Raspbian Jessie. It's painfully slow here even on an overclocked Pi2B, so you're not missing much IMO.

Re: The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B Q&A thread

Looks like BCM43438 also has FM radio capability. Is there a chance of accessing it? If yes, is there a way to connect an external antenna? Nope and nope. PCB technology limits mean that we couldn't route out the FM antenna pin. It's left disconnected underneath the chip, unfortunately. Hmm. I wond...

Re: Future gpu upgrades

I think vc4 has long been rather behind as from what I vaguely remember the data bus on vc4 is 128bit and I think mali is 256 and has been for some time, so bandwidth is going to be lacking for a lot of future stuff. Yeah, but have you seen how fast VC4 is when overclocked to 500MHz? Nearly all of ...

Re: wanted to learn how to install NOOBS

That would be known as a headless install. Do you plan on ever using a keyboard, mouse and monitor with the Pi, or will you always be accessing it from the laptop? If the latter then it would be a whole lot easier to just install the OS you want to use (Raspbian for example) instead of going via NOO...
