Libreoffice Base

The included LibreOffice suite in the Raspbian image is not detecting a JAVA environment. his is required to create and work with Databases . libreoffice base, libreoffice-java-common and a java environment are installed as part of the raspbian image . I'm Not sure if this is raspbian specific, or a...

Re: Slow samba transfer speed on RPi4 to a usb 3.0 drive (10,4mb/s)

Another thing that can really affect the performance is the way you mount the Samba filesystems. on my desktop PC running Buster i can only get about 40-50mb/s if the filesystem is mounted in at user level (gvfs-fuse) e.g. through File managers or comand line gio mount smb://[email protected]/share howeve...

Re: Moonlight Embedded

Myke, ive been experimenting with the new version, as you mentioned its rewritten in C. Its definitely faster loading (as your not launching Java each time). I had some problems with my limelight controller mappings so had to create new ones. There was also a few issues with the makefile, which are ...

Re: Unreal Speccy Portable manual

Hi Traidna As an alternate suggestion : Instead of using PI store, you can get unreal speccy from the author here https://bitbucket.org/djdron/unrealspeccyp/downloads . You can extract the usp_0064 folder to your home directory, for example /home/pi This should give it the correct permissions for yo...

Re: uae4all2 (Amiga emulator)

@chips: got your sources to build on Pi1, but the GUI hangs on me. Are you using some special fixed guichan? The one I got from sourceforge doesn't seem to have been updated since 2009... EDIT: got it to work by disabling GUI-on-start. Anyway, a --disable-guichan configure option would be great, pl...

Re: RetroArch on Raspbian: the tutorial

@Vanfanel Small problem with compiling dispmanx driver with recent code. I always configure with ./configure --disable-x11 --enable-floathard --enable-neon --disable-ffmpeg --enable-udev --disable-sdl --disable-pulse --disable-oss --enable-dispmanx works fine without --enable-dispmanx CC gfx/drivers...

Re: DOSBOX with GLES2 + tv shader + dynamic recompiler

Yes speedwise i cant see any real-world difference between sdl2 and the gles renderer at present (which makes sense since sdl2 is scaling with gles i believe??). Ill run some doom fps tests when i get things working how i want them. One thing i have noticed is with a few games your version isnt scal...

Re: DOSBOX with GLES2 + tv shader + dynamic recompiler

Thanks for this Vanfanel Ive been running with a SDL2 patch for a while, will be good to see how this compares. Since the dynarec is enabled at build time make sure [cpu] core=dynamic in the config file. I found in previous testing setting core=auto didn't always work properly Looking forward to try...

Re: Uae4arm: Amiga emulator with JIT and DispmanX

Im putting together a retropie build script for this, but its exiting after compile. I Think its due to the fact the makefile doesnt exit cleanly. Strange error since the uae4arm binary compiles(and works) fine. Can someone cast their eyes over the makefile and see whats up? thanks! make: uae4arm: C...

Thanks for this update. Its a great emulator i use it on my android tablet as well.

The joypad support is a welcome improvement.
Is there a way to define which joypad button operates as Fire?
An option to assign a button to Open the menu would be good too , perhaps in a future version? :)

Thanks again Since the code is public, why not sync this up on github? It would make building/integration with proj...
