Bluetooth LE keyboard support?

Hi, I have a quick (hopefully) question regarding Bluetooth le support on the rpi3 with raspbian. I've made a Bluetooth le keyboard using an adafruit bluefruit 32u4 le. It works fine when paired to my iPhone and computer. The problem comes when I try to use it on the pi3. Bluetoothctl shows it, can ...

Re: Bluetooth LE on Raspberry Pi 3

Yes, please do share some detail. So far I've made a keyboard with the bluefruit 32u4 le that works on iOS and OS X, but not the pi3. It pairs, connects trusts it shows up as a keyboard in bluetoothctl etc, but won't type any of the letters. Some info on what you did would be really helpful. Thanks.

GPIO, transistors & resistors

Hi, Im having an issue with a project I'm trying to build. Basically I have a small 5v fan from a laptop that i can run at full speed between the 5v gpis pin and a ground pin. Its really fast and noisy, but it works. I've followed some tutorials on controlling the voltage supplied to the fan via PWM...

MPG321 vs shutdown button

Hi, i have been trying to write a python script that plays mp3s with mpg321 and I also want the pi to have a shutdown button that calls a function in my script as I want to use it without a screen. I can get both of these elements to work, but if the pi has played a sound file then the shutdown func...

Re: Where put /var/log folder

I'm a bit of a Linux noob, but I've heard you can have the log folder stored in RAM so the SD is left alone. I guess that would mean you don't get to keep the logs though...

query RGB LED colour

Hi, I hope this is in a suitable section. I am currently working trying to learn python and have been making some RGB LEDs light up and change colour. I've got a function that can blend from one set of RGB values to another over time and it looks good, but... Right now I'm hard coding the two parame...

Re: Hopefully simple time question...

Thanks for the quick reply. Would sending it to sleep stop anything else running? For example if I was to record the temperature every second, but don't want to be warned more than once an hour that it's above 20 degrees would making it sleep for an hour stop it recording the temps for the duration ...

Hopefully simple time question...

Hi, I'm new to programming in Python and I'm trying to do something for a project in working on. Basically I want to monitor the temperature every 10 or so seconds and if it goes above 20 degrees it print out (and maybe send) a message. The thing is I'd like it to be smart enough to not bombard me w...

Re: Dimming RGB LEDs

Ah - thanks. I was talking about the neopixel rings. I messed about following along with the ambilight project and the strings of 12mm WS2801 lights which seemed to work from the pi, so I assumed the rings would work too, but as it's all so new to me I wasn't sure. I guess what I would ideally like ...

Dimming RGB LEDs

Hi, hope this is posted in the right place. I am looking for info on how to hook up colour changing LEDs to my Pi. I have seen rings of colour changing LEDs available and I hoped to power/control them from the GPIO pins. I have a couple of questions about this though. Firstly is it possible to dim L...
