Connect two pi0w's to share wlan0's

I am looking to see if you can set up a pi0w [slave] as a USB Ethernet adapter (gadget mode?) so I can use the wifi on that pi0w and connect it to another pi0w [master]. So basically on the master pi0w there would be 2 wifi networks wlan0 and say wlan1 or eth0 (I don't know what it would show up as)...

Re: Pi0w as a bridged wireless access point

Correct. This is not possible because wlan1 cannot be bridged. It is a client. If you want "acting as a bridge" instead of real ethernet bridging you can look for stuff like this . Pseudo-bridging sort of works in general (e.g. not great with DHCP). Or see if your router offers a propriet...

Re: Pi0w as a bridged wireless access point

Thanks for you reply! By the standards, you can't bridge a client wifi interface. Only bridging an AP interface is possible. Does that mean that I cannot use a second wifi dongle to act like below: [Home Router]<---->[wifi dongle (wlan1)]<---->[wlan0 acting as bridge]<---->[phone/computer/etc] [ 192...

Pi0w as a bridged wireless access point

Hey guys, Sorry if this is in the wrong spot. I followed the following link https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/configuration/wireless/access-point-bridged.md to try to extend my home wifi range while maintaining the same ip address as the router and am not able to connect to it. I am using a ...

Re: issue mounting usb drive

After some reading I've added

Code: Select all

max_usb_current=1
in

Code: Select all

/boot/config.txt
and it seemed to do the trick when I reboot the Pi.

However, If i then unmount it and try to mount it again i run into the same issues. :?:

Keeping power plugged in while off

Hey guys I had a thought and wanted to see if it was safe for the Pi's or not. I have a few Pi's and they have two holes labeled "Run" near the display port. from what I've read that basically restarts the Pi. What I was wondering is if it was safe for the Pi to shut down, keep the power p...

Re: Just got a RP2 question about overclocking?

Oh alright i think i understand a little better thanks!...I'll have to mess around with these to see what they do with the config.txt file.

I plan on having this run 24/7 and just wanted to make sure that i wasn't going to be overclocking it causing it to overheat or hang up.
