Re: compatible 433Mhz USB transceivers?

How'd it go? Did you find a solution/software for the generic 433MHz USB transceiver? Curious because I got one recently.

Re: LED Matrix 16x32

Hi, did you end up finding the solution for this? I have a Freetronics red 16x32 DMD as here: http://www.freetronics.com.au/products/ ... -32x16-red. There is an Arduino library but I have no idea how to connect it to the Pi.

How to use Gertduino as standalone Arduino?

Hi all, My Gertduino has been sitting around not being used after I got a $5 Arduino clone which I can program directly from the PC. I would like to repurpose it as a standalone Arduino that can be programmable over USB. Using Arduino on the Raspberry Pi/ uploading hex files is too much of a hassle ...

OpenCV Libraries

Hi all, I am looking into OpenCV and so far my basic installation of CV 3 is working (after a painful 6 hours). I was simply wondering if anyone had the compiled libraries for CV 3 + contrib (my face python wrappers seem to be broken). I don't know much about the compiling business, but I'm assuming...

Re: RPi to control 2.4GHz Transmitter for RC car

I don't know where my code went (I moved on to opencv) but basically it was just using GPIO libraries + Websockets and a simple joystick controller that sent x and y values.

Keep WebSocket open - Python + browser

Hi all, I am trying to make a web controlled joystick that streams data back to a Python program running on the Pi. I'm currently using this WebSocket library: https://websockets.readthedocs.org/en/stable/index.html . Connecting to the server is fine, I can send and receive messages as long as they ...

Re: RPi to control 2.4GHz Transmitter for RC car

I worked it out finally!
Here's the final setup if anyone's interested. I just used a filter to smooth out the PWM and then a web joystick to control the car.

Re: RPi to control 2.4GHz Transmitter for RC car

Hi all, I've investigated the circuit, and I found that the max voltage is 0.3v and this goes down to 0v, controlled by 5k potentiometers. The Pi is at 3.3v so I'll probably need to step it down. Do I use a voltage divider here? And does the PWM need to be converted to an analog signal (I read about...

Re: RPi to control 2.4GHz Transmitter for RC car

Thanks for the suggestions.

Which one is easier to implement or requires the least amount of extra parts? I don't have an electronics store that close. With PWM could you hook it up directly? And if this is possible, could you please direct me to a sample circuit diagram?

RPi to control 2.4GHz Transmitter for RC car

Hi All, I am thinking of using my Raspberry Pi to control a 2.4GHz transmitter for my R.C. car. I've split it open and in the circuit board there are two potentiometers that control the steering and thrust as seen here: https://fccid.io/pdf.php?id=1298194 . My electronics knowledge is a bit rusty, I...

Hi, I looked at the thread and replaced the ath0 entries with br0. However, I am not completely sure of what to put in for <mac-address-of-wireless-dongle> (is this the rpi wireless dongle), <IP-address-of-device> (which device, the computer or the Pi, and what if it isn't static IP), <mac-address-o...

Re: RPi WiFi to eth0 bridge not working

Thanks for the replies,

I'm not an expert on Linux so could you please give me step-by-step information on how to set up said bridge? E.g. what I need to download? It seems like you are using bridge-utils which hasn't worked for me in the past... could you explain what I need to do?

RPi WiFi to eth0 bridge not working

Hi all, I have been trying to use my Raspberry Pi as a wifi-to-ethernet bridge using various different methods i.e. bridge utils and using the script here http://hackhappy.org/uncategorized/how-to-use-a-raspberry-pi-to-create-a-wireless-to-wired-network-bridge/ but none of these seem to be working. ...

Yeah I've also looked at that one. Do you know how many GPIO pins it uses/ what connections cause I might want to attach shields/hats later on. From the pics it looks like it uses 3. Tell me if it works... :D

Anyone know of any touch displays around $50??? Seems weird paying more for the display than the computer itself... ;)

Would you happen to know what the power requirement is? I am planning to power both Pi and display from a powerbank with 2 outputs (5V 1A and 5V 2.1A - for my pi).

Gertduino doesn't reset (loops blink - not responding)

Hi, I purchased a Gertduino quite a while back, dusted it off and installed all the necessary software. I then proceeded to upload the blink.hex file which worked fine. However, everytime I turn on the Pi the blink program keeps running, and therefore when I uploaded a hex for my DMD http://www.free...
