Could this be verified please as both RockPi4 (RockChip 3399) and OrangePi (H6) do have AES enabled. Would be such a pity if RPi4 does not have this enabled, which would "degrade" it to a nice kodi box but not for eg VPN ...

hi - I agree rgd cpu power, forgot to mention both devices use the performance governor and RPi2 is " overclocked " to 1000MHz. However in this case " ovpn " utilises openSSL and if " AES-256-CBC " is being used that's single threading regardless of what you have elsewhereone. Might be worth conside...

that is a pity, though 25Mbit should be fine in my case. Therefore I tested a 2nd vpn, which is identical configured as the RPiZ but running on a RPi2. hmm where is that documented it has a USB1 interface as it is sold as USB2? Or you mean the Linux driver has only support for 10Mbit ? Hi - Thanks for your reply . Please note this one has a Micro USB 2.0 to Ethernet RJ45 Network LAN Adapter which I like to connect directly ( thus without USB to micro-USB converter ) to my PiZERO. Anyway ASIX should be good too! thanks again

Hi - Trying to find out if a "HLF1081A NO:9700" Micro USB 2.0 to Ethernet 10/100 RJ45 Network LAN Adapter will work on Raspbian. Currently I do not owe a PiZERO therefore like to find out if one uses this adapter succesfully and moreover which kernel driver is being used, ( r8152 ) ? Cheers

after reading this topic in more depth it appeared I was able to use "rpi-update" after following " latest kernel and firmware packages " and uname -a now shows:
