Pi Day Help

So I read this post here,

http://www.raspberrypi.org/forum/viewto ... 63&t=72055

and I was curious, is it possible to write some sort of program with a javscript compiler with a simple line of code like
console.log 22/7, and have the pi continuously write out and record the digits?

Re: Browser game won't load on Pi

try using

sudo apt-get install chromium

that installs a version of google chrome that might load faster.

Free Computer Courses Online

I have been scouring the web for places to learn about computers programming and engineering. Finally. I found something. Free MIT Computer courses! I just thought I would share these because I will be taking these courses. They are designed for someone with no computer knowledge whatsoever. Courses...

Hi, I'm wondering how many devices have you burned so far? P.S. I have a strong feeling that you're just having fun here by writing such an inventive failure scenarios... Best wishes, Ivan Zilic. Lol. What power sources provide 9-12 volts?

I have a small screen that has just arrived finally, it's power consumption I now know is at minimum 9 volts and maximum 12 volts. I want to have it mobile but if that's not possible (I guess) I'll live. The screen is powered by a positive and negative cable that needs soldering onto another positiv...

What is a breadboard?

Okay, I've been researching LED's for the Pi, and I keep coming across something called a breadboard. What exactly is this and what are some uses? Also, what is the best one for the Pi?

How can I use LED's like these?

Hi there, Another one of my learning courses will be LED's, as they are cheap and cool. http://www.amazon.com/microtivity-IL184-Assorted-Resistors-Colors/dp/B004UZDKRG/ref=pd_sim_e_3 these are the ones I have purchased. How do you power these? I mean, obviously, positive negative to the two brackets...

Re: is it possible to solder a usb cable to positive/negativ

Scoured the Web for info on the monitor. No info. I will assume it is 12v. I am building a portable pi, so, is there any way possible I could get a 12v power supply that is also portable hooked up to this?

Re: is it possible to solder a usb cable to positive/negativ

I will not be using the pi as a power source. That would probably pop a circuit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-7-TFT-LCD-Digital-Color-Screen-Car-Monitor-for-Backup-Rear-View-Camera-/301010989634?pt=US_Rear_View_Monitors_Cams_Kits&hash=item4615a73242 Here is the screen. Re: regarding projector

Yes. You can. Just plug an HDMI into the projector and the Pi. For a composite, hold shift while your Pi boots, edit the preferences document, and uncomment the composite you're using. For the WiFi dongle, yes also. It is very easy and some are plug and play. Here is the one I purchased. http://www....

Good Monitors?

I'm building a portable Pi. I have everything except a screen. I thought the screen would be the easiest part. I was wrong. I'm looking for something around 7 inches thst can display the text on the pi. I need it to be around $30 USD. It doesn't need to be HD but HDMI port would be nice. This is rea...
