I only ask because at the moment I am having to do a fresh install to the sd card as once its failed with the mmcblk0p2 I dont ever get a...

Re: Ethernet problem on New Pi 2

I bought the new Pi 2 yesterday to replace my old unit and the Ethernet port isn't working on it. I've installed openelec/kodi and it's fine if I use WiFi (much quicker than the old one, which is nice!). I know the cable & router are fine as I can plug in my old Pi and everything works fine. I even...

wordpress setup

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I am trying to follow the project at the following link http://rich1.dyndns.tv/?page_id=567 . Setup of lighttpd works without issue and I can access the index.php using my subdomain name from the internet, so I know my port forwarding and routing is ...

Where does this page live

Hi, another stupid question I'm afraid. I am trying to setup a Wordpress server without much success. This involved setting up an nginx web server, but when I come to test the server I get a different page than I am expecting. I then rebuilt my SD card with a new image and this time I booted the spi...

Searching for files in unknown locations

Hi, I am trying to follow the wordpress and nginx guide http://www.cnx-software.com/2012/08/03/wordpress-for-raspberry-pi-using-nginx-and-mysql/ and have hit a bit of a snag. The guide states the following but I don't appear to have a wp-config-sample file. I am trying to search the drive to find on...

Re: Connect to Network Share from Internet

Hi, appreciate all the security and risk aspects, but that isn't really answering the question, which is 'how is it done?'. So in simple terms, how do you access a NAS drive that is on the same local LAN as the Pi. The Pi is set up with a myNas share that sees the NAS box. I would like to access tha...

Re: Connect to Network Share from Internet

Thank for the responses. Let me pose the question a different way. I want to set up a file server accessed from the internet, but the files are kept on a NAS drive shared to the rpi. How would I do that ? I dont want to use ssh as I want others to have access.
Thanks in advance

Now I still have issues with noobs but, if I edit the config.txt file and add the boot_delay=1 and reboot it works. On raspbmc install I also had to add a line to get hdmi working. Have you tr...
