Re: Pi3 A+ VNCSERVER startup too long

Checked the differences between vncserver log file from (1) No USB dongle, slow start (2) USB pendrive, normal start. Only differences are few lines in the end of logfile of (2) FreeFontPath: FPE "/usr/share/vnc/fonts/" refcount is 2, should be 1; fixing. <13> 2018-12-30T04:43:32.816Z pi3Aplus Xvnc[...

Re: Pi3 A+ VNCSERVER startup too long

"vncserver-virtual " that is possible but where do I change settings to do that? Is there a config file where I can do this. As such vncserver automatically starts up (eventually does so but very slowly).

Re: Pi3 A+ VNCSERVER startup too long

Observation: If I connect HDMI Monitor and USB keyboard, it gets activated faster (<2 min) Possible source of problem: I initially installed realvnc-vnc-server without vncviewer as I won't need the viewer. This somehow activated the xvnc . I did install vncviewer at a later stage but still xvnc is b...

Re: USB boot now working on Pi3

Just a general notice to others looking into this USB booting. Once I forced another BRANCH=next rpi-update everything worked perfectly (using a SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.0 Flash Drive, 64 GB). I'm using my RPi3 normally without any need for an SD card. Further, other distributions besides Raspbian h...

Re: USB boot now working on Pi3

I have tried to use USB boot and this is what happened. Suggestions are welcome. 1. Pi3 + 2017-04-10 Raspbian on a sd card, booted 2. Edited the /boot/config.txt, sudo reboot. No problem. 3. Shutdown, removed sd card. Booting with a Sandisk ultrafit 32GB drive having same software installed using dd...
