I will post a review of it (when it arrives) with and without the external antenna. Edit: as to using my own antenna, it is most probably a...

Using omni-directional wifi antenna for Rpi
Hello! What I am trying to accomplish is using an omni-directional wifi antenna as a wifi antenna for the Raspberry Pi. The wifi antenna has two (connectors?) that would normally connect to an mPCIe wifi adapter in my computer. Is this possible and how would I go about doing it? Thanks in advance fo...

XBMC scanning issues.
Hello! I have just recently installed Raspbmc on my Rpi. I put some music on it via a samba server and a Windows device, and they are all located in a folder under /home/pi. I have gone into Music, deselected Library mode, and then scanned the folder into the library. It goes through quickly and whe...

I have followed this guide: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/665518/Raspberry-Pi-as-low-cost-HD-surveillance-camera and I have set up motion. However, the Raspberry Pi does not save it to the place that I want it to save it to. Also, when I view the camera via the internet, it shows it as a black...

I have fixed the problem by reinstalling.
I followed this guide: http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/665 ... nce-camera
But it does not automatically run motion on boot.

Re: Unable to install rpi-update
Mine shows some time on November 16.
Even after revisiting raspi-setup and enable camera support and rebooting, I am still unable to use raspivid or raspistill.

Re: Unable to install rpi-update
Yes I did reboot.
Updating and all didn't install anything new, so I'm confused as to why raspivid and raspistill don't work.

Re: Raspberry Pi acting somewhat sluggish
My SD card is a Class 10 PNY. I think that I have passed any issues with the web browser. Now it is more of an issue with Mathematica installation, which is a totally different matter. However, I have OC'ed the Pi to the "High" setting. I am also having issues whenever I make an applicatio...
