Re: RPi3 B+ shows intermittent lag in video when streaming

OK, I removed the Jessie version of kweb and got the Stretch version loaded, but it still didn't work. So I did another fresh OS install. Updated the OS with apt-get and rpi-update. Got the Stretch version of kweb installed as per your instructions. Now, kweb seems to work for youtube as intended- ...

I uninstalled vlc 3.06 and reinstalled vlc 3.03 but I continue with problems. Similar other users I ned to play at fullscreen TVIP rtp or udp streams. With h264 VLC plays correctly all streams even full HD 1080p streams, but when I play a DVB mpg2 streams is not able to reproduce more than 5 fps. I...

Re: RPi3 B+ shows intermittent lag in video when streaming

Thank you gkreidl- After installing the webk suite and updating I spent two hours attempting to get it to work- no luck with YouTube, and certainly it's not going to work with Plex servers. Thanks anyway, I appreciate that you have made your software freely available and that many people use it suc...

You might also find them in "/var/cache/apt/archives" or download them from http://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/v/vlc/ Thanks, I have uninstalled vlc 3.06 and reinstalled vlc 3.03. All the problems with loading iptv channels referred to in my earlier post have disappeared! Also the tune...

Re: VLC 3.0 with hardware acceleration

The repo management software we use (reprepro) doesn't allow two versions of the same package to be available in a single release, but old deb files don't get deleted. So, downgrading isn't quite trivial, but still possible if you download the relevant files and use dpkg to install them. To address...

Re: VLC 3.0 with hardware acceleration

Gadgetguy said: " I just locked (via synaptic packager manager) vlc as well as its' associated packages to the the 3.03 version. 1. h264ify is enabled by default. I recently reinstalled it, because someone else here was giving me the advice. It didn't change anything. Videos are not running in VP9 mode; they're correctly running in MP4 mode. 2. Well, if there's a "special Foundation version", let me ask: Who developed this "...

You'll find they are Music VIDEOs ;-) He/She tested and cannot see a problem, perhaps link to examples you have problems with. Others incl.the Engineers can then test with known bad videos. If you say all are like that and people are not seeing it, then .... A note VLC has just been updated to 3.0....

Re: VLC 3.0.3 is crashing my RPi3

So it has now been running well for a week - GREAT. Very happy and in fact I am watching a recording right now..... Only one word of caution. It's really nice to use the GUI, and of course I started running other "stuff" on the GUI at the same time as watching a video on VLC - I was running a Pytho...

Re: Heatsink required for Raspberry Pi 3 B+?

I have a raspberry pi 3 b+, and I have not overclocked it or added heatsinks. When I have a handful of chromium tabs open, sonic pi open, and MCpi open, the thing will stop completely. Re: VLC 3.0.3 is crashing my RPi3

I've run another test over night: VLC playing a TV SD MPEG2 stream. The stream is served by another RPi running a TV server application (based on mumudvb). No problem or crash. It was running for at least 6 hours.
I do not think that VLC is the culprit. You seem to have an unstable system.

Re: VLC 3.0.3 is crashing my RPi3

Thanks guys. My recordings are all SD, so I don't think I am putting a huge load on the GPU, plus it has the codec, so I am assuming that makes it's life easier. So maybe just going for a 3B+ might be the answer..... LTolledo - did you get any helpful ideas? Maybe just going back to Kodi (OSMC) is ...

Re: How to set 2 wordpress sites on a RPi with different domain names

The fritzbox (or any other router) does port forwarding, not domain forwarding. But it can only update one DDNS account. You have to run a small script which updates your second domain DDNS. Then you can set different directories within your web server configuration to handle different domain names....

If so, disable it and try again.
