Very interesting. I was kicking around the idea of this because I have a spare GPS module that could be used. Finally decided that I was not likely to write a program better than my Delorme PN-40 and Gamin GPS-60. Enjoyed reading your blog. Thanks for posting up all the pieces on how to pull it off....

I don't think the Pi is a good choice for ECM. Not enough inputs and not the right kind. You also need drivers able to activate the fuel injectors. There is a lot of engineering behind an ECM. It is a long learning curve to be able to setup an engine properly with a commercial unit much less having ...
