Re: Status of Fedora Remix?

tedsluis,

You are correct Pidora is the Raspberry Pi Fedora Remix, (armv6hl version) to be included on a new multi-distro card image that will be bundled with the hardware,

Features you can look forward to and other cool things, you will have to wait for the announcement

Andrew,
Chris Tyler is right, you truly are the “Repro Guru” Two releases in two days
Well done hats off to you (It would have to be a Fedora!)
Christmas has come early this year for us!
Now if only I could decide which of the two to take for a test-drive first!

owenlars Don’t panic! You don’t have to find the “VC Packages” Yum will do all the searching for you and find all the updates (including the “VC Packages) and show you what it has found and how much space they will take, it will then ask you if you wish to install them, if you say yes it will then d...

Re: Automated Presentation

If you are using GNOME shell, you can add start up applications by invoking gnome-session-properties.
In the dialogue box, add the entry for the application you want to use

If you are using XFCE, open xfce4-autostart-editor and add any application you want to use.

Re: RaspberryPi-Fedora-Remix-17 Test image 5

Sorry Guys intended to get back to you earlier but work has a bad habit of getting in the way! Mike. I cannot help but think it is a futile exercise, with no benefits, I see no added value to using a custom cross-build system, as the ARM packages have already been compiled natively on ARM platforms....

One or two more test images are likely to come out before the official F17 remix is released for general consumption, Chris Tyler and his Seneca students are creating these using their own builders at Seneca with any spare builders being used for Arm F18. The push on Arm F18 is to try to become part...

Re: RaspberryPi-Fedora-Remix-17 Test image

To answer the question of What's in it? The test image is running the 3.1.9 kernel. The Fedora ARM packages are the same as the Fedora f17 packages. Except the remix-specific packages that aren't in Fedora (mostly the one that start with raspberrypi-* plus some libraries that are specific to the SOC...

Just to put the cat amongst the pigeons I have no problems using an old Logitech PS/2 keyboard with an equally old non-descript PS/2 to USB adapter. What will affect the performance is the amperage drawn by the keyboard the one I’m using is rated at .75mA., so again it seems the results depend on th...
