Re: Omsplayer via ssh

i current use something like this

Code: Select all

plink -ssh 192.168.1.102 -l owner -pw iptv -P 22 /home/viewer/localStream.sh udp://239.0.0.1:2000
it just launches omxplayer to play udp://239.0.0.1:2000

i just want to be able to control volume mainly

Omsplayer via ssh

i have found info how to do this with named pipes

but can i run it via ssh if i know the PID process somehow? i am using plink now to start the video up.

if i knew how to send the correct commands via plink.exe to do named pipes maybe it would work too

any help would be awesome thanks

will just use this at the end

unless you know a way it would stop looping and posting every 2 seconds to Google Docs

Re: Running omxplayer inside X11??

Well, the current source on github doesn't have a -b option. But I believe the answer is that omxplayer writes directly to the screen/frame buffer using the openmax api in the gpu, bypassing X. I'm unclear about overscan handling in openmax. So to get rid of the underlying cruft, yes you have to bl...

I'm trying to write a simple bash script for controlling omxplayer from a command line. I'm a rubbish programmer, particularly with bash. This is what I've got so far: #!/bin/bash # if [ ! -e /tmp/omxplayer.pipe ] then mkfifo /tmp/omxplayer.pipe fi # ( /usr/bin/omxplayer -n -o hdmi $1 < /tmp/omxpla...
