Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hi, in the R100 the TC358743 chip is connected to the CAM1 port. So we have connected SCL to GPIO1 and SDA to GPIO0. GPIO 5 drives an LED (CAM1_IO0). GPIO 4 (CAM1_IO1) could be used to monitor the 5V on the HDMI cable (like a cable detect). However a resistor (R15) would need to be soldered. The RES...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hi Orbital5, thank you for the fast reply. Sorry that I have ignored your previous emails. This was not intentional. Yes, I am happy to support you with a beta board. I would propose that you send me an email to my Auvidea email address. Regards, Jurgen

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hi Dave, this is great work. :-) I would be very interested in testing the beta driver. How can I get hold of it? Just recently we introduced new versions of the B101 and B102, where we added an 8 pin connector for I2S audio, reset and cable detect. These signals can be routed to the appropriate pin...

Re: B101 CSI-2 input from PS4 and image processing

This is Jurgen from Auvidea. Sorry for the late reply on this issue. 1080p30 was a mis-print. The B101 only supports 1080p25. We do have a new product (the Auvidea V20), which is FPGA based and can emulate the PI camera. This product converts a SDI video source to the 2 lane CSI-2 interface of the P...

A photo of the B101 module. It connects with a 15 pin FFC cable to the Raspberry Pi. http://www.auvidea.eu/images/auvidea/products/bridge/B101/38126_B101_sale_800x356.jpg A photo of the test setup. It shows the playout of the 1080p30 video received with the B101. http://www.auvidea.eu/images/auvidea...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hi 6by9, I did not mean to ignore your message. I appreciate very much the support which you are offering. Also I like to thank you for the information, you have given. I wonder, how we can go from here. It looks like there are plenty of action type video cameras out there, which support 1080p30 as ...

B101 HDMI to CSI-2 bridge works

It works! :D Today we have tested both the B100 module with adapter board and the new B101 module, which is specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi. We have tested it with the Raspberry Pi 2 Model B. We have used a second Raspberry Pi with an output of 1080p30 to test the setup. It works like a ...

Re: HDMI to CSI-2 via TC358743 on kernel 4.1

Hi Orbital6, this is great news. I have been waiting a long time for driver support for the Raspberry Pi. It looks like, that things are starting to move now. We have designed the B101 specifically for the Raspberry Pi. It does not require an adapter board, as it features the same 15 pin FPC connect...

Re: Camera Interface Specs

Hi Gordon,

it looks like, that you are also looking at an HDMI to CSI converter board. What is your status? Would you be interested in working together?

Re: Camera Interface Specs

My HDMI input board for the Raspberry Pi is making some very good progress. Yesterday I have started it as a kickstarter project. Please check it out at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/14 ... spberry-pi, if you are interested.

HDMI In Module: read 256 bytes from a single I2C address

Hi, I have designed a new multi-function board for the Raspberry Pi. It features an HDMI input and output, analog audio in and out, IR receiver and sender, audio LED VU meter (single channel with 8 LEDs) and a user programmable micro controller. Yesterday I have started it as a kickstarter project. ...

write_i2c_block_data with more than 32 bytes of data

There is a limit on the data size of the Python "write_i2c_block_data" command. The maximum data block size is 32 bytes. But I need to write 256 consecutive byte to a single register address. If I try to do this I get the following error: edid is defined as an array of 256 bytes: edid = [.., .., ..]...

Re: VGA input/encode then stream

Are you still looking? Your post is already of couple month old. But good things sometimes take a little longer. We are developing an HDMI video capture module for the Raspberry Pi. It also supports digital embedded audio and analog audio in and out. In addition it has an IR receiver and transmitter...
