My RasPens

Well, I finally got around to inking a couple of fountain pens in some Raspberry Purple to use around the desk for note taking and such. The solid purple pen has a fine nib, and the clear purple pen has a medium nib. The medium pen even has a "P" for Pi on the nib! I may get another purple pen later...

Re: US ATSC TV Partial Success

CMason, great post. I'll be watching, since I'm trying to get rid of the amazingly expensive cable bill. I'm a fellow Portlander (Hillsboro, actually), so if it works for you, it will probably work for me.

Re: C64 emulator

Cool! Now, the question is: has anyone managed to log their RasPi onto Q-Link Rebooted?

Re: Why did the industry fail?

<t>Okay.  Let me start this off by saying two things: First, I plan to buy at least three RPi's for my own personal projects.  Second, I have great respect for the people of the Foundation, and for all the people I see on here putting in their personal time to make the RPi a success.<br/> <br/> But,...

Re: Total Cost of Ownership

<t>I don\'t know what the equivalent in England is, but when I was making my home made MAME system I went to the local Goodwill store to get stuff to cannibalize. A clean, usable USB keyboard and mouse were a total of $5. Probably be able to pick up a power supply from an electronics bin for a coupl...

Re: Self-Contained MAME Machine

<r>I've wanted to do this for a long time, but as my first post mentions, sadly my flat isn't big enough. I'd still love to have a working upright arcade cabinet that's powered by a MAME PC... One can hope, but for now I'll just have to settle for something smaller <E>:)</E>. <br/> <br/> I remember ...

Re: How would you use a Raspberry Pi device?

<r>I'd use it for a Brother-in-Law proof unit. He can break almost anything. Also, he's never graduated from school, and needs to get his G.E.D. to get into a Plummer's Apprentice program. I gave him a PC to study for his G.E.D., but it got pawned. Ditto for the laptop he was given. About the only t...

Re: Merchandise ideas

<r>You know you're going to do pens. But you MUST do a Raspberry Pi fountain pen. You could even get an ink company like Noodler's to do a specific shade of ink specifically for R-Pi and called "Raspberry Pi Purple". I know that Noodler's will sometimes include a free fountain pen when ordering a 4....
