Re: A (trivial) PIXEL request
This is my favorite background - http://raspberry.piaustralia.com.au/pro ... angled.jpg . I agree - the default wallpapers are cool but I also wanted something more rpi related.

Re: Ubuntu flavours for Pi2 & Pi3
I use Xubuntu on all my computers sans one running Windows 7. Love Xbuntu for it's simplicity, haven't tried it on either of my rpi2's or my rpi3 yet tho.

Re: OS Image: Minibian (18 Feb 2015 Release), Upgraded to Je
I installed Minibian and then updated to Jessie, then installed lxde and it runs great. I recommend this to anyone who wants to experiment with Jessie without the bloat of Raspbian....which still doesn't play that well with Jessie.

Will try that when I get a chance - thanks for the quick response. I am currently building my own so thanks for the inspiration as well.

Re: OS Image: Minibian (18 Feb 2015 Release), Upgraded to Je
Just ran Raspbian and confirmed that ethernet port on my pi2 is working fine so that is ruled out.

Re: OS Image: Minibian (18 Feb 2015 Release), Upgraded to Je
Just restarted network and no luck connecting with either image, will keep trying to figure it out. Thanks for the image btw, like the look and speed so hopefully I can get it to connect.

Re: OS Image: Minibian (18 Feb 2015 Release), Upgraded to Je
Nice image but it will not connect to ethernet so fairly useless at the moment. Can't add programs, update, etc. so not sure what to do with it. Running it on a pi2 with lxde installed but no luck getting it to connect.

Re: Ubuntu 15.04 / Mate for Raspberry Pi 2
I tried this distro 4 days ago and wasn't impressed, but just loaded it again since being added to NOOBS and it rocks. I have only been using it for a few hours but it is faster and more desktop alternative friendly than Raspbian in my opinion. I have been using Ubuntu flavors (mainly Xubuntu) for t...
Re: RaspEX
I haven't tried UbuntuMate since it was added to NOOBS - will try again tonight probably. Loved the look and speed of it, just the sudo update and upgrade were the problem.
Re: RaspEX
I have tried them all but Jessie, which i plan to do tonight. As for selling raspex I was not aware of that. I found raspbian sluggish and UbuntuMate has same problem when updating and upgrading as raspex does. I will certainly set up Jessie tonight and thanks for the tip about exton trying to charg...
Re: RaspEX
Not sure what the "obvious reasons" are but I see no reason to dismiss it. I like to think that the more options we have the better we will be able to fully utilizeutilize the power of the Rpi 2
RaspEX
Has anyone else tried RaspEx - http://raspex.exton.se/?p=1 ? I am using it now and it may be the fastest OS I have tried. There is a problem with update and upgrade as it logs you out every few minutes after performing them. Other than that my limited testing has so far been quite pleasant. Also GPU...

Re: Lakka successfully running on RPI2
I really love this, the interface is great and so far most games run quite well. I am going to add more games for all the systems to see how well it runs but so far I am impressed. I also have an SD card with retropie on it (64gb) but will be installing Lakka on it, retropie runs great but Lakka is ...
