Hi Ken Really great piece of software this - thanks for taking the time to put it together I've setup a liveshow of JPGs to be displayed which is working great - just got one snag - image resolution It looks like either the Pi itself or PiPresents (I imagine the Pi itself) is automatically adjustin...

Re: Pi Presents: A display package for museums & visitor cen

Its possible. You need to save the powerpoint presentation as a jpg. A jpg image will be created for each slide which you can use in Pi Presents. You will need to adjust the slide size in powerpoint to match the pixel size of your monitor. Apologies if this has been covered, I am total noob to this ...

Re: Pi Presents: A display package for museums & visitor cen

Use of a USB stick for a liveshow is described in the manual. Hey Ken, First of all i want to apologize for my English in advance. I love the work you have done. I managed to get a raspberry pi up and running. It will start pipresents automaticly on a reboot. Now i have some people around here who w...

Re: Pi Presents: Beta of a major upgrade now available

PP is not a client server system. However using a liveshow you can plug a USB stick into the Pi and play images and videos on this stick. Details in the manual. I guess it would be possible for the liveshow to take data from a remote computer and the USB stick to be plugged into that. That is outsid...

Hi

Pi Presents will do most of what you want, except perhaps the light show.

You can see something similar here https://pipresents.wordpress.com/2015/0 ... -the-cake/

No Audio: I have installed Pi Presents-next on a RP2 model B but the audio portion of my mp4 file does not play. I can switch between HDMI and local sound, but only get static, no audio from the video. The video on my USB stick does play audio when run on my windows laptop. Any help is appreciated,...

Re: Tkinter GUI Freezes - Tips on threading/unblocking GUI?

I think your problem is that wait() is a busy wait. You need to implement the waits using win.after()

Also you will find it much easier in the long term to use python classes. It makes everything much easier but it takes a bit of getting into.

if you are willing to accept mono then 2 raspberry pi's running Pi Presents. You can direct a track to left or right speaker. Use OSC to trigger one Pi from the other. Unfortunately PP's OSC implementation currently allows only one master and one slave. Alternativley 4 Pi's each running PP as an OSC...

I can read the files perfectly fine in the file manager, run them as mediashows, but when I try to run as liveshows. They won't display, I just get th...

Re: pipresents TabError: inconsistent use of tabs and spaces

Pi Presents is developed using Python 2.7 and it would be best to use the version of pexpect specified. I have never tried it using python 3 and it probably will not work. <> is a way of saying not equals. I think it might be obsolescent and maybe not allowed in Python 3. The recommended not equals ...

The liveshow examples do not have controls as they were set up for an automatically advancing show. However you can add controls as are present in a mediashow example. You will also need to set the default track duration to 0 to stop the automatic advance. if you want gpio control then you can just ...
