Re: RPI 3B+ + HDMIPI - Powerboost 1000C - Help!

Is there a way to increase the current through a separate board or even make one myself?

Re: RPI 3B+ + HDMIPI - Powerboost 1000C - Help!

As you can see i am not suoer technical so usually just fund it best talking it out with people.

If you would be willing to, I know it is an ask, but if you are free at some point and wanna help a brother out, wonder if you would be happy to live chat whilst I tinker and take advise?

Re: Portable Lithium Ion for HDMIPI

The LM2596S is a good choice. I have lots of them (I buy them in 10s, dirt cheap on ebay) and have never had one fail. I have one powering a home-made 'UPS' for a temperature sensor that transmits at 868 MHz. In the event of a power cut it loses handshake with the receiver, which is annoying. That ...

Wiring photos - You can see just how much room you save each side by making my own cables: http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y11/carnagemetal/8a61eab0-f100-4141-8b0f-216475396c15_zps73ef38de.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y11/carnagemetal/IMAG0009_zps8c16aa6a.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Looking to build portable 9" HTPC Laptop

Hey RdKill, Thanks for your input. 1) I thought about 3D printing but to be fair I want to build this all myself so will most likely opt for making a black acrylic case with a clear acrylic π symbol cut out the top with blue LED's shining through. 2) I have ordered two buck converters so will test t...

Re: Looking to build portable 9" HTPC Laptop

So after killing a bunch of cables last night I have finally decided that using shop bought cables just take up WAY too much room of my liking which would mean my enclosure would have to substantially larger and heavier than expected. I have decided to make my own prototype board using some PCB proj...

Re: Looking to build portable 9" HTPC Laptop

Looks like a fun project you got going on there... Have you looked at 3D printing for the case? Good luck with this :) let us all know how it goes Yeah - it is going to be a bit of a struggle but is going to be fun. I have thought about 3D printing but I do not have a 3D printer and will be looking...

Looking to build portable 9" HTPC Laptop

Hi guys, First time poster here! I have searched the forum around how to run a 12v power supply and split it to power a 12v Screen and 5V power to a USB Hub that powers my Pi and a 7200 rpm 2.5" HDD and came to a stand still. My vision: 12v mains going into custom built enclosure which then splits o...

Re: Raspberry Pi HTPC All-in-one: Powering 12V Screen and 5V

Alex - What a pleasure to have you post on this! I whole-heartedly agree with you, the price of decent HD portable screens are ludicrous. The whole point I embarked of my little project was that it is an AFFORDABLE portable media centre that hasn't compromised too much on cost vs quality. As soon as...

Re: Raspberry Pi HTPC All-in-one: Powering 12V Screen and 5V

Yeah - Although with this Kickstarter they have said that if there s enough interest and they can find a solution they will make an add on product that will allow touch screen use.
