Re: Raspberry Pi 4 RTL-SDR stick not working
I just wanted to chime in that as of Jan 2, 2020, I've tested it with the latest updates and firmware (I believe) and getting errors. Here's some info. pi@raspberrypi:~ $ hostnamectl | grep Linux Operating System: Raspbian GNU/Linux 10 (buster) Kernel: Linux 4.19.88-v7l+ pi@raspberrypi:~ $ sudo rpi-...

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 power pin
Thanks everyone. I'll be using around 20-24 AWG wire that'll only be 10-30cm long. So it should be more than enough. I just wanted to make sure there weren't any electrical advantages to the USB-C port.

Raspberry Pi 4 power pin
The Raspberry Pi 4 official specifications state "5V DC via USB-C connector (minimum 3A*)" or "5V DC via GPIO header (minimum 3A*)". Is there any difference electrically? I remember with the older Pi's, it bypassed safety circuitry. I'm asking because I will be using cheap (Ali E...

Re: Raspberry Pi rev 2 with webcam crashing
...There are alternatives - you can power the Pi from a hub port which negates the need for a second adapter, or you can supply raw 5V directly to the GPIO. Thanks so much for the reply! That's what I suspected. I don't understand why the +5v and ground isn't just passed straight through to the USB...

Raspberry Pi rev 2 with webcam crashing
Hi guys, I have a rev 2 Raspberry Pi Model B and it keeps crashing a few seconds/minutes after I run an HD webcam (Logitech C910). I was first using a genuine Apple 5w charger from my iPhone. It would typically crash within 10 seconds. I then got an brand new genuine Apple 12w charger and it improve...

Size of files in Downloads section
Hi. This is a simple, easily fulfilled request: could the file size of each OS in the downloads section be shown? It would be a help to know what is the smallest/largest distribution and by how much. Thanks!

Re: Thermal imaging possible?
I imagine a lot of people will want to use the camera module to make some kind of automated surveillance device. That's what I want it for. I was wanting to make a baby monitor and don't mind added IR LED's for extra lighting. Hopefully a camera module with a removable filter is made available -- or...

Re: PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING, Thank you.
Thanks Jessie. I was about to request gigabit Ethernet and more RAM but I see that due to this SOC, that's impossible. I can't wait until it comes out and I can get it!!
